Dear Chris and Luima- Just wanted to tell you again how much we enjoyed our fifth stay in your beautiful home. You make us feel so welcome, it's like coming home to visit family. We appreciate all the extra touches you provide; the lovely flowers and the absolutely delicious clam chowder. A special thank you for the thoughtful and generous 50th anniversary gift. We had a wonderful meal at Joe's. Will let you know the dates for next year as soon as the family confirms the dates for their trip to Spain. Best Regards, Nancy, Claude and family
My family had an amazing experience at Briar Point! We were more than pleased with the hosts, this beautiful home and the location for our family vacation. Our party included my husband and myself, my daughter, her husband and their two teenage children, and my son, his wife, and their toddler. The house accommodated us all very comfortably. The house was clean, well equipped, and spacious. What made this home even more special was the property. My family enjoyed relaxing by the pool, playing ping pong, kayaking right off the property, or just sitting and reading by the big picture window or on the back deck with the amazing ocean view. Even my toddler grandson was easily entertained with the swing set near the pool and the toys in the playroom/garage. This home and the property met every need for the various ages in our group. I highly recommend this as a vacation rental and look forward to a day when we can return.
Having just spent a week in this lovely home, celebrating a milestone birthday with college girlfriends, I cannot say enough about this fabulous property. The home is immaculate and contains every luxury convenience one could wish for. Spacious bedrooms with fantastic views over the marsh to the ocean, huge deck to enjoy both the sunrise and sunset and everything in between, wonderful kitchen with every appliance one could dream of including a vitamix blender so that we could counteract the lobster rolls and clam chowder (best ever provided by the home owners!) with a healthy smoothie, heated pool with a waterfall (which the owners increased the temperature on to accommodate us southern ladies of a certain age), luxury bed linens and big fluffy towels, and a state of the art sound system. Far too many amenities to list, but suffice it to say it was not easy to pry ourselves out of the house to explore the rest of the Cape. The owners provided superb guidance tho on things to do and see as well as detailed dining options. The location was close to many activities and restaurants altho I must say that simply enjoying the Briar Point house and grounds was at the top of our list of favorite things to do. The sounds of nature including many birds during the day and owls at night was topped off by a sighting of a mother fox and three kits on our last day. I would love to return to this beautiful setting with my family and can recommend this luxury home with absolutely no reservations . Simply a wonderful place to spend time with friends or family!
This home is wonderful. The view over the inlet to the Atlantic ocean is gorgeous, especially when the sun is setting and the marsh grass turns many hues of gold. The kitchen has top of the line appliances including a Viking gas range. Five spacious bedrooms (two master bedrooms at each end of the house) on two separate wings. It was spacious for us (family of five with a 15 month old), but would beautifully accommodate the 13 mentioned on the listing. Everything is spotless, including a two car garage that has been converted to a play area for children (complete with wall mounted tv). But, hopefully, the weather will allow you to spend time outside, either admiring the gardens or enjoying the view or lounging in the pool or pushing your grandchild on the swing set. We hope to return next year, but highly encourage others to enjoy this fabulous property.
We just completed our 4th visit to Briar Point, and for more reasons that could fit in this review, highly recommend that you experience what we have been privileged to enjoy over the past several years. What makes Briar Point so special is that it is not just a “rental.” It is a very beautiful home, meticulously cared for by the owners, and they graciously allow us to use it as our home when we visit the Cape.
The property is immaculate, inside and out. We first visited in 2009, and the level of care continues to be perfect. The owners are constantly upgrading the amenities for our convenience. The kitchen this year has a new dishwasher and refrigerator, with a new washer and dryer in the laundry area; all are top of the line appliances. Last year the garage area was magically turned into a children’s play area, complete with a large flat screen tv. Then there is the 60” tv and Bose sound system in the great room.
This home is located in a very nice, quiet, residential area and is minutes from restaurants, stores, and our favorite place, Nauset beach. One of the nicest additions for your enjoyment is the pool, which is a perfect stopping place when you return from the beach. We could go on, but pictures speak louder. Enjoy your virtual tour of this unique property and give it a try. When you open the door and see the beautiful flower arrangements placed throughout the house, you’ll know you have chosen the right vacation home for you.
Now, we realize that a review of this nature may very well prompt people to visit Briar Point, and that visit may preclude us from being able to spend another week in paradise. But there is something about Briar Point that compels us to share its goodness with everyone; it definitely brings out the better, “sharing,” angels of our nature. We could not do otherwise. It’s that good.
The pictures don't do the house justice. The rooms are spacious and the landscaping is just emmaculate and beautiful. We were a party of 11 and there were plenty of rooms and areas for us to relax. My family and I have been renting large vacation homes all over USA and Canada for the past 8 years and this home is by far the CLEANEST and best maintained home. My favourite room was the kitchen with the modern appliances. There were enough pots and pans to cook with and more than enough plates and cups for our family to use throughout the day without constantly washing dishes. The view from the deck and bedrooms is beautiful, the pool is large enough for kids and adults to play in and our hosts, Chris and Luima, were very hospitable and helpful in making the most of our stay. We felt comfortable and "at home" in this grand house. I highly recommend this home and hope to be back next year.
We had a fantastic week at your lovely home. Everything was just as described and could not have been more perfect including the weather. We throughly enjoyed the pool and nearby beach and had plenty of room for everyone. We want to thank you and Luima for all your attention to every detail and your clam chowder was the best!! We look forward to visiting again soon!
Orleans is Cape Cod's most popular family vacation destination. The town is nestled between the spectacular beaches of the Atlantic Ocean and the tranquil coves and harbors of Cape Cod Bay. It is steeped in maritime history, old captain's houses, specialty shops, excellent restaurants and is the commercial hub of the Lower Cape. 'Briar Point' is located on three acres overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, Nauset Beach and Pochet Inlet. Bring your kayak or rent one in town; some of the best kayaking is right at your doorstep. Are you a 'life is a beach' type person? Ten miles of pristine white sand at Nauset Beach is only 1.5 miles away. Super sunsets on the bay are the norm at Rock Harbor where you can charter a fishing boat. The kids will love the tranquil and warm waters at Skaket Beach; also on the bay side. Call for more!
