The roof terrace with a view of the Cathedral can be accessed from both bedrooms.
With comfortable seating accommodations, the terraces are perfect for relaxing high above the city.
The flat’s individual furnishing is a mixture of sophisticated collector’s pieces from the 1970s and modern retro-style furniture.
Its creative atmosphere is perfected by the works of a Cologne art photographer.
Restaurants, bars, pubs and shops are in close proximity; the city centre is only some 10 minutes away.
This apartment was an excellent base for visiting Koln and surrounding areas during Christmas break. We would like to return in spring or summer to really enjoy the balconies. The location is great. Easy to go to central Koln. Grocery stores and restaurants were very close to the apartment. The owners were a pleasure to deal prior to and during our visit. Thanks!!!
A perfect property for our family (two children under 5). The owners lovingly care for the place and were very communicative and helpful throughout the whole process (including supplying a travel crib and toys). It is just outside the main part of the city but with tram access within easy walking distance it felt like you were staying much closer. The neighborhood itself also has a multitude of great little restaurants which the owners have conveniently annotated for guests. A great spot from which to explore all that Cologne has to offer.
We loved staying here. The apartment is 70s designed with huge windows, great views and plenty of living and sleeping space. Well connected to the city by the nearby tram with shops and restaurants within easy reach.
Having stayed at this apartment in the summer of 2014, we were so happy to have the opportunity to return again in 2015! We like the fact that there are a variety of shops, cafes, and markets in the neighborhood within easy walking distance, but that the area feels quite peaceful and safe. It's a snap to explore other parts of the city since the tram stop is nearby. It's also a great spot for families with kids, as there is a fun park across the street. The hosts are welcoming, responsive and helpful, and even made sure that the apartment was stocked with some age-appropriate toys for our two young boys. The apartment is clean, spacious, and comfortable, and we would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone visiting Cologne.
This was our second visit to the apartment and it was even better this time as we had some sunshine so we could enjoy sitting on the terrace with a glass of wine in the evening!
Great location, very easy to get into Cologne by tram. The local area is very nice with a variety of shops and good restaurants and bars to explore and enjoy .

We chose this apartment because of the reviews, the terrace and the location. It was everything we had hoped. The owner met us when we arrived and gave us all kinds of help with directions, restaurants, etc. etc. We arrived in a lucky sunny day so we drank a beer ( the owner gave us beer to welcome us :-)) outside on the terrace. The apartment is very spacious, clean and well maintained. If we decide to return to Koln we would definitely choose to stay here again.
The 1970s penthouse is located in close proximity of the University of Cologne.
At the very door, there is a park with a playground and sports facilities. A number of shops, among them organic supermarkets, organic fashion shops, galleries and well-known chain stores such as Rewe, Netto, Aldi, dm and Rossbach are located within a walking distance of 1 to 10 minutes.
You need only 2 minutes on foot to reach the stop of tramline No. 9 that will take you to downtown Cologne, the historic district of Cologne, the river Rhine and breath-taking Cologne Cathedral in about 10 minutes.
To get to the fairgrounds, the Rhine Park or the Lanxess (Cologne) Arena will take about 15 minutes with tramline No. 9 – with no transfer at all.
Tramline No. 18, at a walking distance of 5 minutes, will take you directly to the Media-Park, to the popular Agnesviertel, to the Cologne Zoo and to the botanic garden.
The university, the university clinic and the planetarium are only a few minutes’ walk away.
The inner green belt with the Aachener Weiher (Aachen Pond) is a popular meeting point for those living in or visiting Cologne – and is only 700 meters away from the flat. This is the place for a barbecue and for chilling out – in the city’s most famous beer garden or organized by you in the meadow.
Cologne’s lively outer green belt, the city’s green lung, is ideal for a walk in the forest, a visit to the game enclosure, snacks and drinks in cafés and beer gardens or a boat ride. You can reach this resort in about 15 minutes, for example, by bike or tram.
Cologne nightlife takes place in the many discos, clubs, restaurants and pubs of downtown Cologne and the Ehrenfeld and Südstadt districts. A taxi will take you to any of the popular locations in about 10 minutes for 7 to 10 euros.
Busses and trams run day and night in these trendy parts of the city.
