About Lisa Weinstein

We are a family of four who absolutely love to spend every minute that we can spare in Provincetown. Lisa grew up with summers on the Cape with her grandparents and feels a special attachment to Lands End. Provincetown works for us because it has something for everyone, peace and serenity, artists living in a town where they make their craft, the freedom to be your true self, no car needed, need we go on?!

Lisa Weinstein purchased this condo in 2008

Why Lisa Weinstein chose Cape Cod

Our home is in the peaceful area of the West End, so it avoids any noise from Commercial street revelers, but a five minute walk can take us right into the thick of the madness. A three minute walk in the other directions leads to the bay side beach for a beautiful sunset view. Our home has so much charm and history in every floorboard. We just fell in love with the old girl the minute we walked in.

Beautiful house in the perfect west-end location

Lisa is great to work with! The house is located on a beautiful street on the west end, near Relish and Perry's. It's an easy walk to the Red Inn as well as the Boat Slip. Highly recommend it.

Clean, comfortable, and complete

  • 5 of 5

This is the fifth or sixth year we’ve stayed in Unit 1 at 12 Cottage. Let me start with the cons: They have never had a potato masher.

That’s about it, though on the upside, I’m sure if we had mentioned it to Lisa, that would have been rectified. Lisa and Bruce are as attentive and responsive as any owner you’ll ever deal with. All the info we’ve needed going in was provided and once there, whenever we had a question, no matter how small, they were immediately answered by email or text.

The unit itself is everything we expected and our expectations are high. It is clean, comfortable, extremely well-appointed, and complete (except for the potato masher.) We have a brood of grandchildren and alternate years with which ones we bring down. The bedrooms are very comfortable and the “hideaway” is perfect for kids, with a bunk bed and double bed underneath.

The half-bath is a godsend when you’re dealing with kids and adults all trying to brush their teeth or shower at the same time. The living room is sunny, bright, and airy, while the den is a nice little cove if you want to stay in and watch DVDs.

The linens are bountiful and clean and the kitchen is fully equipped for any type of cooking with state-of-the-art appliances. The grill outside offers a very convenient option as well. There’s a great bench-seating patio and garden that creates a nice little oasis out back and a welcoming front porch with Adirondack chairs to relax, perfect with the morning sun with coffee.

The driveway is tight and there’s only one parking space available but you really don’t need multiple vehicles, though there are pay lots nearby. It is so wonderfully located. There is a playground across the street out the back and, if you’re up for it, an occasional pick-up basketball game with some of the locals. It’s a five-minute walk downtown and that’s if you go slow. It’s also a great walk to the West End beaches as well as a stroll out the jetty at the Pilgrim Landing site (yes, they came here first.)

There are also several bike rental places close by and great bike paths all around.

I cannot imagine and better place to stay whether a family or a group of adults. There’s something for everyone and Bruce and Lisa are top of the line hosts. And what makes it perfect is I bought a potato masher and left it there. You can thank me later.

Very comfortable and wonderful location

  • 5 of 5

Very comfortable house with plenty of space to spread out. Three comfortable bedrooms - all equal size - plus two living rooms, deck, dining room and well equipped kitchen made this a great place for our group of five adults.

Good location for short walks to Commercial Street restaurants and bars, the jetty, and Herring Cove beach.

Lisa was great at communicating before and during our stay.

Would definitely consider this for a return vacation.

Like home away from home!

  • 5 of 5

As soon as we stepped foot inside 12 Cottage for Bear Week, we knew we had made the right decision. The location itself is absolutely perfect; close enough for a short walk to all the action, and just far enough away from the hustle and bustle. The house itself immediately felt like a second home, and within an hour of unpacking, our group was bonding and lounging in the airy and comfortable common living room.

Everyone was delighted with their accommodations: the beds were extremely comfortable, with impeccable linens. The kitchen quickly became the heart of our stay, and it was our gathering area before we set out for the day's adventures. The back porch was extremely spacious, and we cooked several excellent meals on the provided grill.

By the time Saturday rolled around, we were all sad to go. Bear Week was over, friends as close as family were going our separate ways, and we were leaving the place that had become our new home.

Lisa was extremely accommodating, the house itself was warm and inviting... I can't thank her and her family enough for opening home to us. 12 Cottage is a fantastic property, and it honestly made our vacation. A million thanks wouldn't be enough!
