Your day usually begins and ends on your own rooftop deck. Sip your coffee while enjoying the beautiful views, and watching the island awaken. A short stroll down the private road brings you to a lovely secluded beach, which is known for snorkeling. Then rinse off in the pool right outside the villa, and plan the rest of your day. The West End is the quieter end of the island with golf, horseback riding, restaurants, spas, and of course the most beautiful beaches in the world! All these are within a short drive. The day is not complete without enjoying the sunset from the roof, listening to the surf in the night, and watching the sky for your lucky shooting star.
PeriTwinkle is a new beautifully appointed villa in the Indigo Reef development. Both bedrooms are large, equal in size, offering king or twin beds, and open onto a private deck or patio. Identical baths feature sunken showers. The living area and large cooks kitchen have everything you need, with multiple options for dining both inside and out. This villa makes for the perfect vacation. You will look forward to returning every year.
We visited the island and the property both for the first time on our Honeymoon Vacation. Overall, Peritwinkle at Indigo Reef was excellent!! It is conveniently located (a short drive) in relation to great beaches and fantastic dining options on the island. We could have spent the entire week on this one side of the island and still had a fantastic time. The communal pool is located right outside the back door and the roof top lounge area is amazing! We spent most evenings watching the sunset over looking the water off the roof top! Parking for the property is easy to get in and out of and the house is not hard to locate even for someone who has never traveled to Anguilla before. The air conditioning in the bedrooms works great. TV and internet worked for us, though we tried to spend most of our time on the most gorgeous beaches in the world. There is not much traffic on the island so it makes driving around a lot less stressful. We enjoyed being able to get groceries at the nearby store and cook a few meals in the kitchen with all of the necessary cooking pots, pans, and utensils. It is without a doubt a place we would like to visit again for an anniversary or even just a vacation!!
Arriving in Anguilla is fabulous but having a wonderful place to stay that's affordable and has so many comforts of home is fantastic. The island is exclusive and full of the glitterati. Peritwinkle is a perfect place for those who want to live th high life but still want to relax and have the comforts of home. Can't wait to go back!
We took the GB Express Ferry and rented a van from Andy's Car Rental. Indigo Reef was very easy to find. The area is quiet with beautiful roof top views. We loved hearing the roosters every morning while drinking coffee on the roof top deck. The closest beach is a short walk away (about 40 yards), but it's not a swimming beach. I actually liked this, because it made us get out and explore the whole island. Peritwinkle is very close to some great restaurants. My favorite restaurant so far is Mango's. We also love Straw Hat, Smokey's at the Cove, Cap Juluca, Picante, Bankie Banx place, The Place at Rendezvous Bay, and Geraud's. We also had a delicious drink at the The Great House Restaurant. Beaches we visited - Shoal Bay East, Sandy Ground, Katouche Bay, Meads Bay, Rendezvous Bay (my favorite), Cove Bay, Maundays Bay, Crocus Bay, Blackgarden Bay, Island Harbor, Sandy Island, Prickly Pear Island, and Upper Shoal Bay. Some beaches we visited by land and many of these we explored with Dougie by boat. There is a very nice grocery store not far from Peritwinkle. They even have some health food and gluten free items. Of course, it's more expensive that the states. Restaurants had reasonable prices. Not much more than buying a nice meal on the Florida coast. We spent one day at the Peritwinkle enjoying the private pool. Peritwinkle is very clean, with a very functional kitchen, wi-fi, and air conditioning in the bedrooms that works very well. The living area and kitchen can get rather warm in the heat of the day. We were always outside, so no big deal. The outdoor shower was a favorite feature at the Peritwinkle. We did make one trip the hospital. The people were super nice and fast. 8 stitches and 2 prescriptions were $108. Not bad considering a trip to the emergency room in the U.S. would be much more that. Andy, our wonderful van rental guy, helped us get to the hospital. If you drive a rental, make sure to carry your Anguilla Driver License. We were stopped at a road block where they asked to see our Anguilla license. We have been to the Peritwinkle 3 times, and we can't wait to return to Anguilla and the Peritwinkle.
Absolutely perfect! This place was better than we had imagined. The pictures do not do it justice. We had never been to Anguilla before and peritwinkle was the perfect base to enjoy and learn the island. It is very easy to get to.
Every morning we sat on the rooftop deck and watched the sunrise - magnificent. The pool is right outside the front door along with a nice little reading room.
Peritwinkle is very nicely equipped. There was everything we needed in the kitchen. Only the bedrooms are air conditioned but it wasn't a problem as the breezes coming through kept it quite comfortable.
The bedrooms are large and the showers are awesome! ( there is even an outdoor shower)
Sandra was there to clean up and wash and dry the linens. She was so nice.
We would watch tv at night or just read.
Peritwinkle is about a 5 minute walk to one of the prettiest beaches I've seen
We were able to go scuba diving ,something I thoroughly enjoyed.
We plan to return soon. Great place!!!
Only average. Pictures are far better looking than the property. Island is beautiful. Be aware of subtle details and I strongly recommend that you visit the main website and question everything that they state they have, against that of the particular unit you are renting. Air-conditioning is only available in the bedrooms, therefore the living-room and kitchen were like a sauna during the day. There was no TV reception (TV was about 20 years old) or telephone. Cleaning ladies showed up when they felt like it, so occasionally, days would go by w/out seeing them. There is NO concierge service as the website stated. That is a silly statement. Recommend this property have a deep cleaning and updating.
I went out on a limb staying here without knowing much about the place, and will go back over and over again. It was the most perfect place we could have stayed. It is perfect for 2 couples as the rooms are the same size and with a spacious kitchen in to cook over night and the best part was the rooftop deck where we sat for every sunset with rum punch and cheese plates.
