We love this area of Colorado. It is a bit off the beaten path, yet it is close to some unique scenic areas, with lots of recreation opportunities. When we were looking for a lot to buy, we loved this location in WildAcres. The lots are well-sized and spaced, the area is quiet and neighbors are friendly.
The North Fork of the Colorado River is a short stroll down the road. The ridge behind the house provides a glorious view of Shadow Mountain Lake, the town of Grand Lake and parts of Rocky Mountain Park. Moose and Elk are frequently seen grazing in the area, often in large groups.
The cabin was a perfect "10". The kids had a blast feeding the chipmunks sunflower seeds. Each day we really enjoyed the hottub, after horseback riding,4 wheeling and whitwater rafting. My wife and I enjoyed the deck each morning drinking coffee and relaxing. One morning we walked down to the Colorado River, and saw some moose tracks. The kitchen was very well stocked and the appliances were great. We grilled outside 2 to 3 nights, and the grill was great. The house and the town of Grand Lake was a great vacation. We will be back soon (I hope) We also some elk the morning we left, they were just down the road a bit. Thank you Cowies for a great place to stay for our vacation.
The cabin was just as advertised ! Tastefully decorated and everything you need to relax and unwind. Great location -lots of starry nights with coyotes howling in the distance. Saw a moose in the backyard our first night ! Grand lake was a fun place to enjoy the great outdoors hiking and checking out the local shops and resturaunts. Definitely a do over !

The house was so warm, quiet and beautiful with everything we needed for an amazing vacation in the mountains. It was close to many hiking trails, Grand Lake and activities. The house was large enough to sleep 5 adults and 1 child comfortably and had great outdoor spaces to kick back and relax after a day of hiking, kayaking or shopping. Absolutely stunning views!
We had a wonderful stay at Grand Lake! The property was perfect for our family getaway. We loved the open floorplan and setup of the house. It was beautiful, clean, and comfortable. The location was perfect for us to enjoy the lakes nearby, hike around the neighborhood, and walk down to the river. I can't say enough about how great our visit was. We would love to come back!
The cabin was in extremely good condition and well stocked. You could tell it was well taken care of. Our family had a great experience. Plenty of room for a big family. The small touches for convenience like towel racks by the hottub and grilling utensils on the grill were very nice thoughtful additions. The checkers table and fireplace were a big hit. Great design with bathrooms on every level. I would highly recommend this property and would book it again if traveling to the Grand Lake area. Thanks for sharing your cabin with us.
We had a perfect 4th of July weekend at this beautiful mountain home. From the hot tub, ample seating on the lovely deck, well-appointed kitchen and comfortable furniture and bedrooms, the house could not have been better. With 4 bathrooms and 3 large bedrooms, it was just perfect. The lower level was great for yound adult children and the home contained everything a visitor could want for their stay. The home was very clean and well-maintained.
From the beginning in the planning stages the Cowie's we very responsive and willing to help. They were very easy to work with. The home is beautiful! It had all the accommodations we needed. The home was clean and everything worked. We stayed for 5 nights over Christmas. It was an important holiday to be together as a family and to have everything we needed. The hot tub was clean. There was plenty of room for the snowmobile trailer and was close to the trail heads. We plan to stay again in the future. Thank you Cowie's for sharing your beautiful home with my family. I would recommend you home anyone whom is looking to stay in a very nice home with a beautiful view in a quiet neighborhood.
