This large house is perfect for a relaxed Coromandel holiday with family or friends. The house has great views across the water to the headlands and islands dotting the bay. In total there are beds for 8 people (1 king, 1 queen, 1 double, 2 x king singles) and mattresses for another 3 on the floor somewhere (a queen, and a single foam mattress). The kitchen is fully equipped with crockery and cooking equipment, a gas hob and electric oven, and two fridge freezers. The two bathrooms each have their own hot water cylinder.

Underneath the house is a large double garage and storage area, where you’ll find a couple of spare mattresses if you have extras, a table tennis table, darts board, bicycles, and kayaks. Next to the garage is a large semi-sheltered carport with a fish bench and plenty of space to park a boat. The driveway is big and has two entrances, making it easy for lots of people to park and to bring a boat in and out. There is a small lawn area at the back of the house, with big washing lines for drying towels, and a couple of citrus trees producing fruit most of the time. Help yourself!

Head 100 metres down the gentle slope and you are on Front Beach, one of Coromandel’s prettiest and quieter beaches. Go the other way and you are 200 metres from the ferry that runs non-stop between Ferry Landing and Whitianga town. And if that is too far, you can stop at the local cafe or the store on the way, for coffee or an ice-cream. There are good walks nearby (along the beach, up to a pa site, around the Shakespeare Cliffs headland, or along the coast to Cooks Beach), and easy cycling and kayaking for exploring further around the area.

The house itself is on two levels. The main level has a entrance porch for dumping sandy shoes and towels, before you go through to a very large open plan kitchen, dining and lounge area, with sliding doors onto the main deck. Masses of living space and comfortable couches for everyone to relax.

Special conditions:

This home is for families to enjoy. There is a very strict 'no party' policy. There is absolutely no smoking allowed on the property, both indoors and outside.
