The Beach Loft is all about massive sea views, the privacy of a stand alone building and the nurturing atmosphere created by lofted ceilings. Ideal for a romantic weekend away. Shortlisted for the 2017 Bookabach Hospitality Award.
Recently completely renovated, the focus has been on comfort with a quirky shabby chic decor. Facing east towards the view, the sun pours in from early morning until late afternoon. The views can also be enjoyed from the luxurious king size bed if you choose to lie in a little later!
Approximately 40 square meters in size, the loft provides bathroom, bedroom, and sitting area with kitchenette. Microwave, crockery, cutlery plus all linen (bedding and towels) are provided.
The adjoining site is zoned esplanade reserve and provides a gently sloping concrete pathway through native bush, a walk of 65 metres to the waters edge. The privacy and convenience this affords adds to the peace and tranquility of the location.
Native birds are daily companions and the beach is known for various endangered shorebirds including godwits and N.Z. dotterals.
Kawau Bay is a safe area for swimming, diving and fishing. Just a 10 minute drive to Sandspit to take the ferry to Kawau Island and visit historic Mansion House. The Brick Bay Sculpture Park and Glass House are within walking distance along the beach.
The loft is within easy reach of a number of other great local attractions; surf beaches at Omaha, Tawharanui and the Goat Island reserve. Additionally there are scenic bush walks, art galleries, vineyards, restaurants and the famous Matakana Market.
After a day's touring come back to the loft to enjoy the peace, the water, and the privacy that your hosts Jude and Steve value so much.
The loft accommodates a maximum of two people and unfortunately is not suitable for children or pets. We have a minimum of a 2 night booking and a minimum of three nights over public holiday weekends. Smoking allowed outside only.
