About the property

Bach or holiday home, 2 Bedrooms, 1 Bathrooms, (Sleeps 4)

"Serenity!" immediately springs to mind, from the moment one enters Serenity Cottage, in New Zealand's very first capital.

Magazine worthy interiors, surrounded by green in a quiet neighborhood.

Fancy a lazy Sunday? You can see the mesmerising water views from the master bed, while your special someone whips up your favorite breakfast in our fully equipped kitchen!

Wonderful water views reaching out before you, from both sides of the cottage, one looking North to the Veronica Channel where the ferry travels from Opua to Okiato and the other from a large covered deck that looks out across the Waikere inlet and lush green hills in the distance providing a picturesque view.

A fabulous getaway - Enjoy, and soak up the ambiance. Be prepared to stay - You definitely won't want to leave!!

Just 7 minutes’ drive from Russell Township where you will find our amazing waterfront cafes and restaurants.

If it’s a weekend of Adventure you are after – Visit the Hole in the Rock, take a ride on the Dolphin Explorer or a cruise through the 144 islands of the Bay. Perhaps a fishing charter to catch fresh fish for dinner! If you like the sound of a tour, just let us know as we are happy to book on your behalf.

Take a dip at one of our beautiful beaches - Longbeach, Tapeka or swim to the pontoon at Russell beach.

Plenty of historical features are just awaiting your discovery, such as the famous Christ Church, where bullet holes still remain from the Maori/Pakeha wars many years ago! The Russell Museum tells the story of the development of Russell/Kororareka, from a small Maori fishing village, to a port of call for visiting ships and whalers to today’s tourist town.

Serenity Cottage accommodates a maximum of 4 guests – With plenty of parking for the boat and cars.

Ask us about our add-on services and all inclusive package offers! Perhaps you would like a breakfast basket or a bottle of bubbles with cheese and crackers waiting for your arrival?

Extras: Cleaning (Required, NZ$125.00 per stay); Linen (included); Continental Breakfast Basket - Per Person/Per Day (Optional, NZ$20.00 per person); Shuttle / Taxi Service (Optional, NZ$0.00 per person); Cooked Breakfast Provisions - Per Person/Per Day (Optional, NZ$29.00 per person);

Very clean and neat property.

Very clean and neat property. Recommend if you are looking for a quiet and cozy place for staycation. Very close to the car ferry (less than 5min) and still within reasonable distance to Russell Town Center.

A fantastic property.

  • 5 of 5

A fantastic property. Built in a batch format but obviously designed and built by an artisan/craftsman with a great deal of thought and care. Wide bi-fold doors opened up the lounge and double bedroom to stunning views of the inlet, and the huge covered deck area was a real bonus, as were the heat pump, log burner and eclectic selection of books.

A working spa would add even more to it's appeal during the winter months.

Awesome spot, great views.

  • 4 of 5

Awesome spot, great views. Lovely open plan living but you could also close the middle door off so the kids can go to sleep in their room. Little bit musty smelling perhaps old carpet? the spa pool is not included in the stay although it is in the pics and is right on the deck. Including it would avoid miscommunication between Tracey and Marni. Marni said we could use it and Tracey said it was 'broken'. Not good to lie to guests. You should incl as a paid extra if it costs extra to run. Cheers
