Toi Street is old style bach with a lovely, sheltered garden and is just a short walk to the beach. The living space is light and airy and has a wood burner which is great in winter. In the garden there are fruit trees and grape vines with an ornamental cherry tree that is perfect to sit under. As well as two bedrooms in the main house there is a sleepout with a queen bed and two singles.
As well as being a few minutes walk from the surf club for swimming it is near Waitohu Stream and the sandhills there which is a favourite with children for playing and digging in the sheltered part of the stream.
We use our bach a lot so we haven't filled it with terrible cheap pans and knives. We've loved finding quality, interesting things in the Sallies and the like. We keep some personal items there (such as clothing) but will make sure there is a dresser that is empty for guests. Guests are welcome to grab a hat or a jacket for a walk on the beach but we just ask that they be returned. There's a stereo with good speakers, an ipod and some vinyl.
Extras: Cleaning (Required, NZ$60.00 per stay); NOTE: Under Kiwi bach tradition you are expected to: Bring your own linen (towels/sheets/tea towels);
