We had a wonderful time
The house comes with everything you need to feel at home
John the owner was delightful and a phone call away for questions
Hope to be back in wine country soon
We were very pleased with our stay and the whole place is totally amazing. I can't say enough about the house/property. Truly beautiful.
The kitchen is very well equipped. I found the living room awkward with no lamps or tables. We had to have the overhead lights on which is not very cozy atmosphere.
They do not provide detailed directions to find the house so if you are arriving at night - it is a challenge.
There were a couple of things that disappointed us with the reservation process.
1. They did not indicate up front that the pool is not heated from Nov - Mar. We only found this out after we had already booked and paid and then could not cancel.
2. They indicate there are 5 bedrooms but do not tell you that one of the bedrooms is in a separate building (the games room building) which is across from the main house.
3. The Theatre room needs some upgrades. The machine that projects the picture is not centered on the screen and the owner suggested we could fix it ourselves by tightening the screw. We were not comfortable doing this as we felt it may fall down and then we would be responsible for the repair. There is no rake for the pool table. There were not a surplus of ping pong balls.
4. I don't remember reading there was a charge if you use more propane than an allotted amount. You can heat the hot tub for 3 hrs each day but it takes almost 2 hrs for it to heat up to temperature (in Dec/Jan) and that time is using up your propane alottment.
Basketball & Volley balls were not inflated so we had to wait for the owner to come and provide us with a pump to inflate them.
There is no recycling which we found horrible.
They alot 2 rolls of toilet paper per bathroom (4 bathrooms = 8 rolls) there were 9 of us and we were there for 7 days, Seems very cheap when you are paying so much to stay there.
The fire place in the living room needs to be replaced or removed as it really does nothing for the atmosphere or heat.
they did not provide very much wood & kindling for us to have outdoor fires (perhaps it was the time of year - Dec/Jan)
Nine ladies had a great weekend! This is a fabulous house in a great secluded area of Temecula. There are neighbors, but you'd never know it. It was a short drive to wine tasting (with our designated driver of course :-) and also a short drive to the Santa Margarita River hiking trail in Fallbrook. Also just a few minutes to old town Temecula. The house was very clean and well appointed. John is very responsive, answered all of our questions promptly, and made sure we had everything we needed for our stay. We had no problems with the jacuzzi - it took about an hour to get hot, we turned off the heat, and it stayed nice and warm with the jets still running for as long as we needed it. The movie theater is awesome - very comfortable seats. We are long time VRBOers and I highly recommend this house!
The house is beautiful. The owners are very helpful. We had a girls getaway and everything was perfect. The yard is perfectly set up for a family get together. I'd say my only negative is that the pool and hot tub are not warm when you check in. You're allotted 3 hours to heat the hot tub and then you're charged. We turned on the tub and after 2 1/2 hours it was barely warm so we turned it all off.
We will be back for sure! We will have to factor in the extra propane for the pool and tub into our price.
We chose this home to celebrate the 50th birthday of our daughter. There were 11 of us from 4 different states and the house easily accommodated all of us. There was something for every one. We had our 3 year old grandson with us and he loved the game room and the media room. The pool was absolutely awesome and enjoyed by all. We cooked out one night and the barbeque grill was just great and the kitchen was very well equipped and included spices and coffee. There were fruit tree's on the property that John allowed us to pick and made a nice addition to breakfast. I would highly recommend this home to anyone looking for a great vacation. Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful!
What a weekend! First we were greeted with an open gate that led you up the driveway to the gorgeous exterior of the house. It's large with 4 bedrooms, a spacious foyer, dining area, den, and modern kitchen. The estate is beautifully decorated. The guest house (just a few steps from the main house) was perfect for our two teenage sons with a bedroom (2 beds), bathroom and shower, game room, and a movie theater that sits 8. We didn't use the pool, but did take advantage of the hot tub which was a perfect 99 degrees. We also got good use of the hammock! The estate is located just a short drive to downtown Temecula where there was a lot of things to do. (Wineries, restaurants, shopping, etc.). The owner, John, couldn't have been nicer or more thorough in his explanation of the property.Bottom line...all10 of us highly recommend the property and hope to make it back there in the not too distant future.
