About this property

This beautifully presented cottage is set away from the main house with which it shares a peaceful native garden. Has its own private outdoor area for you to relax in. Close to cycle trails leading to stunning scenery and local wineries. Bikes to hire. Short walk to river/beach. Local cafes, restaurants and a bar are within 5 minutes walking distance. 10 mins drive to Napier or Hastings. 15 mins to Napier airport. Well appointed. Linen supplied and cleaning included. Not suitable for children.

Well appointed with all the necessities. Fully air conditioned. Cool in summer and cosy in winter. Accommodates 2 adults comfortably but has room for 4. Relax in the lounge area or sprawl outside in the bbq area if you need more room. Light the chiminea and relax with a glass of wine, while taking in your surroundings.

The cottage has its own private gate that backs on to Clive river. You can access the cycle trails from here and also enjoy a short walk to the river and beach. We have 3 x bikes for you to use at a special guest rate of just $30 per day per bike.

We provide tea coffee milk oil salt and pepper and your basic bathroom necessities. If you would like us to stock the cupboards or get anything special we are happy to arrange.

Perfect cottage retreat

Excellent property. Great location. Hosts extremely welcoming and helpful, particularly when we had a problem with our car. Great local knowledge and advice for things to do in the area. Would certainly return.

River Cottage

This is the perfect place to relax and have a great time in peace and quiet. It also has the benefit of being in a great wine making/drinking area. It is also close to Napier with its art deco architecture and Hastings for everything else. The cottage is very well appointed and has everything required for a relaxing stay close to the river for bird watching etc.

Mystic Getaway

After realizing i booked it on the wrong weekend. We eventually made it and we were blown away. The most beautiful place to getaway. The gardens were spectacular and the room was amazing. So easy to communicate with Sue. Will definitely reccomend! Ngā mihi mahana kia korua.

Mark and I have grown up in Hawkes Bay and have made our house in Clive our home for 30 years. The cottage was built for our 2 sons whom have now left home. We enjoy meeting people and helping them have fun so we decided to have guests to stay.

Why they chose this property

We love the rural feel of Clive, and it's close proximity to town if you need to pop in for something. The native garden is our sanctuary and we enjoy all the bird life it brings.

Situated between Napier and Hastings this property is in the heart of Bay. Local wineries and cycle tracks make this place unique. Scenic rural feel, and only 10 mins from a city.
