Cottage, 2 Bedrooms, 2 Bathrooms, (Sleeps 4)
Janet and Gordon have had property on Waiheke for over 30 years so know the island well and love it. We moved to our current location in 2009, first living in what is now Booklovers Cottage. We subsequently built our now house about 50 metres away on the same property and began sharing our love of the Cottage in 2013. Janet is a retired interior designer who practiced in Auckland and overseas since since 1975. She is now an avid reader, gardener, art collector and volunteer at the Community Gallery, and player of Mah Jong. Gordon was a civil engineer working as a consultant in Auckland and overseas for nearly 40 years. He is a member of Waiheke Rotary and has been chairman of the Waiheke Literary Festival. Gordon does the hole digging and heavy lifting for the garden on command. Together we have traveled extensively and try to visit new locations overseas at least each year which, amongst other things, allows us to finely tune our appreciation of what travellers need. And Max - our chocolate labrador with character loves to welcome visitors.

The greatest concentration of vineyards and wineries on the island are on the road to Onetangi Beach all within about 5 mins drive.
You can get to the Island by passenger ferry (fullers.co.nz) from Auckland City to Matiatia where rentals cars are available, or by bringing your vehicle from Half Moon Bay or Wynyard Wharf in the City by the vehicle/passenger ferry (sealink.co.nz) to Kennedy Point.
