I'm a San Francisco resident since 1999 and appreciate the beauty and character of the historical homes of San Francisco.
Navin Agrawal purchased this house in 2006
Live like a true San Franciscan in an 1899 Victorian which is located in one of the most vibrant neighborhoods of San Francisco where you get the local feel, from the creative arts to the array of savory foods from the diverse ethnic restaurants.
I love the local feel of the neighborhood. Dolores Park, which is around the corner is a great place to soak in the sun and people watch. A short walk to the Valencia Street corridor and I can find almost any ethnic cuisine to fulfill my palate.
The property is beautiful, spacious and in the perfect location. Navin was an excellent host. We could not ask for more! We will definitely be back.
We recently spent 4 nights at this beautiful Victorian home in the Dolores Park area. It was truly a pleasure to stay here. There was plenty of space for the 4 of us to hang out. We loved the formal dining room where we enjoyed a wonderful dinner with our son and daughter-in-law who live nearby. The outside space is so charming--often a rarity in the city. Everything was top-notch in the home. I look forward to staying here again!
Along with another couple we stayed in this lovely home for four nights. We had a great stay and would definitely consider staying here again. Everything depicted in the listing and pictures is accurate. Navin was quick to confirm our reservation and in providing details for check-in, etc. The house was very clean, well maintained, and everything in working order (though we did notice that the living room had a ceiling mount for a smoke alarm; but there was not a smoke alarm there). Furnishings are very nice; beds comfortable; towels and linens were also excellent. Although we didn't use it; the dining room is exceptional with a large table and great furnishings. Brighter lights in this room would be desirable; though the lighting level is in line with the Victorian style. The location is great; a short walk to many places to eat (Tartine's Bakery is only a few blocks away and a must for fantastic baked goods and morning coffee. The house is also central to go to other locations in SF by BART, Muni, or car. We hadn't noticed until after our stay that in some other reviews that it was possible to rent a parking place from a nearby home. We were able to find street parking each evening; often on the same block. But it is noted that during the day cars can only be parked on streets in the neighborhood for two hours. This didn't pose a problem for us as we were out and about each day by early morning. If that wouldn't be the case for your stay; you should consider renting a parking place or not having a car. The only negative is that the house next door has some large dogs that stay on the porch and often would bark and howl when people walked past the house. This is outside the control of Navin and in our case wasn't a problem as we are early risers and by late evening the dogs were usually quiet since people weren't often walking past the house. I only mention it so that if you are a late sleeper; you may want to take this into consideration. All in all; a great place to stay!
This property was beautiful. We would stay again. Only things we would change is the bed is very noisy, anytime we moved it creaks. Thanks for wonderful time in SF. Location is great to experience the city. My conference was downtown so it was nice to be in a neighborhood. Area restaurants are have reviewed 5 stars on NYT food reviews: Tartine bakery. Delfina and Fable were also fantastic. Make reservations early.
We spent a long weekend in San Francisco at the Dolores Park Victorian. Great location a block off the park in the midst of restaurants, bars and of course, the "bi rite." Try Starbelly in the Castro. The home is beautiful - great kitchen- outdoor and space. Navin was responsive and the home was clean and well cared for. We can't wait to go back.
We had a wonderful stay at Navin's house. It is exactly as described! Amazing location with lots of places to eat super close. Dolores park is just around the corner. We rented the parking garage from Tim since we needed a car, seemless process. The house even had a highchair and pack'n play, great for us since we were traveling with a small child. I cannot say enough wonderful things about this property. Easy checkin and out process, not a single issue while we were there. We would definitely stay again! Thank you so much for allowing us to enjoy your fabulous house.
