'Jacks Place' is located in the centre of a small beach community, made up of permanent residents and holiday cottages. The rugged West Coast beach is a fabulous place for a restful break in the winter and a fun beach holiday in the summer. The cottage has all the basics you require. It is fully fenced, and shares the site with another small cottage with a permanent resident. Jack's Place is the rear 2 level cottage. Guests will need to bring groceries as required from town as there is no shop at the beach. The cottage has basics like tea, coffee, sugar and toilet paper.
This cottage allows guests to hibernate or spend time at the beach. The beach has a great park for the kids to enjoy with a flying fox and other great play ground equipment. There are public facilities such as barbeques and public toilets. It is a safe place for the kids to swim and has life guards during the busy summer period. Known as Mowhanau Beach or Kai-Iwi Beach, there are 2 great streams for children to paddle in, make dams, float boats, or swim safely. The camping ground has a cafe that operates during peak times.
