Welcome to the Galveston Victorian House! Our full service luxury rental is located in the heart of Galveston's East End National Historic District with all the comforts and feel of a B&B but with complete privacy and much more space! Ornately constructed 143 years ago, the house survived the Great Storm of 1900 and Hurricane Ike. Original hardwood floors from 1874 remain in tact in much of the house and the home is beautifully and comfortably appointed with period compatible furnishings throughout to make your stay feel both timeless and memorable. This is a very comfortable house with modern conveniences placed throughout.
We are only 8 very short blocks from the beach and moments from downtown. You can walk practically anywhere from the the house because it is so conveniently located. Come in, create some happy memories, and step back in time.....
A Little More Information: The East End Historic Neighborhood is filled with delightful turn of the century homes. Ball Street is one of the more significant streets, and on our street, this lovely block is one of the more spectacular blocks.
Going for a walk will make you smile every time you step into your neighborhood. A walk can be purposeful, like going out to dine, or just to stroll the side-walked streets under the shade of magnificent, towering trees for a bit of fresh air.

We absolutely adore our Victorian home and we spend significant amounts of our time here. We vacationed in Galveston for many years prior to buying the home in 2006, and bought it because it represents our vision of historic Galveston. We never get tired of having our family reunions there and many other families and wedding parties seek us out for the same reason.

If you love the beach, island magic, beautiful historical homes, long walks, long walks, and sultry evenings, you will love visiting Galveston and love staying at the house. Galveston is the perfect sized town, easy to get around, so much to do, and yet so relaxing. Your eyes never get tired of taking in the historic sites and beautiful homes. Our home is right in the center of it all - 5 minutes to downtown, 3 minutes to the beach, restaurants and shops just around the corner. We can walk almost anywhere.
Well, it’s a cliché, but “home is where the heart is,” and your home captured our hearts this Christmas. From early morning jogs along the Seawall, to Christmas Eve dinner at Guido’s, we truly enjoyed our stay. Highlights: Benno’s gumbo, the Elissa, the Bishop’s Palace, horse drawn carriage, carollers and Dad’s potato soup with foccaccia from Sunflower Bakery. Thank you!!
We've stayed at the house twice now, once for Thanksgiving and once for July 4. Both times were wonderful.
House is well-appointed, convenient, comfortable, with charming historic details. Owner Elizabeth is gracious, thoughtful hostess. Our children (ages 7, 11, 14) think of it as their personal beach house now, though I'm thrilled it's a lot more than just a beach house.
Within walking distance to all sorts of interesting historical sites, convenient to downtown dining on the Strand, and landscaped backyard to enjoy the ocean breezes. Washer/dryer a wonderful asset when you're spending so much time in sand and surf, and the kitchen has everything you need to make and serve all meals. Even Thanksgiving dinner--china, crystal, the works!

The house is very spacious and comfortable. It really has everything you need and you feel at home right away. The location is perfect for all Galveston has to offer. I loved being able to walk to the Mosquito Café (best dinner), the Original Mexican Restaurant and Sunflower Café (best breakfast). The Strand is 5 minutes away and so is the beach. The street is quiet and an added bonus is that there is a driveway to park on (lots of homes don't have them). We would stay there again without hesitation.
We have stayed at the Galvez,Condos,and me daughters apt in Galveston 6 times a year for the last 3 1/2 years. I told the family I wanted to stay here during Graduation. The family said OK but if anything goes wrong its all my fault.
Everyone had a great time, the House is very special, And the location makes it easy to visit Galveston and Relax when your done. Thanks for making this Graduation Special.
Had a wonderful stay this charming and well maintained Victorian home. The owners provided everything one may need to feel comfortable in this home. Elizabeth made sure the air filters were changed and the air conditioning was comfortable for our stay. Our family would definitely return one day.
This is a marvelous home in the East Side Histroical District. A very nice, quiet neighborhood. The back deck is perfect for enjoying breakfast or evening cocktails. Easy access to virtually everything, but especially Patty Cakes Bakery and the Mosquito Cafe within two blocks. Elizabeth, the owner, was great and informed us on every level about the house and the location. Would definitely stay again!
Our family felt at home in this beautiful, lovingly restored home with comfortable, modern amenities. We relaxed on the shady back porch and strolled to the popular Mosquito Cafe and Sunflower Bakery. It was fun to walk the historic neighborhood and admire gardens and tree sculptures. The home was spotlessly clean and well-appointed. The long driveway was nice to park two cars. The owner, Elizabeth, was professional and kind. What a perfect home!

Our rates are always the same: $285.00 per night with a 2 night minimum stay. STAY 3 NIGHTS AND GET THE FOURTH NIGHT FREE!!! There is a separate deposit ($312.00, of which $300.00 is refundable - the other $12 goes for toward credit card fees).
Three (3) night minimum stay on Holiday weekends.
If you stay 30 or more days, you will not be charged the 15% Hotel Tax mandated by the City of Galveston or the State of Texas.

We are situated in the middle of the charming East End National Historic District and placed on one of the most architecturally significant and visually pleasing streets in Galveston. Ball Street is often visited by horse-drawn carriages whose tours are conducted by local guides. The house is tastefully landscaped with a back deck that is surrounded by a fountain and gardens. The house has over 1,800 sq. ft. and includes 2 full bedrooms, a TV/sitting room (in which the sofa converts to a queen size bed), 2 full baths, a living room, dining room and kitchen.
The house was made for entertaining and comes with a fully stocked kitchen and everything any chef would require for preparing and serving a beautiful meal.
The back porch is a treasure, inviting you to spend many peaceful moments sipping libations and listening to the sound of the water in the fountain. If you love the beach, island magic, beautiful historical homes, long walks and sultry evenings, you will love staying here.

The East End is absolutely charming and you will love to walk in the evenings and mornings to look at all the wonderful historic homes in our neighborhood. It's positively magical!
