Our property is in Taupo .It is a older colonial villa set in a valley of farmland and trees.It is 11 km from the
C.B.D.The house is surrounded by 40 acres of paddocks ,gardens, orchards and wetlands.
Our home is character filled,books and art fill the house .
We are only 5 minutes drive to one of Taupo's most beautiful beaches ,Whakaipo Bay. You can swim, fish or try the new W2K mountain bike track (easy grade) 2-3 hrs each way.
It is 5 minutes to L'Arte cafe and Mosaic Art gallery and 5 mins from Acacia Bay boat ramp, general store and bistro bar.
For the golfers', we are 20 minutes to the Jack Nicklaus Golf Course and the International Wairakei golf course.
The house has plenty of space, 3 bedrooms upstairs and the huge master bedroom downstairs where you can snuggle up in the super king bed , read one of the 100s of books or watch movies on the 50 inch flat screen.
Outside there is a gazebo, hooded BBQ and wide porch for those alfresco summer nights.
The orchard provides fruit when it is in season or otherwise a delightful interlude in among the flowers and trees.
For those who can brave it, there is the unique experience of private outdoor bathing in our rustic fire warmed claw-foot bath and lots of lawn space for sports.
The kitchen is a fresh open plan cottage style kitchen with a breakfast bar and all your modern appliances. Plenty of pots, pans, utensils, plates, cups etc.
The Bathroom includes both a shower with an awesome shower head allowing an effective soaking and a decent bath to immerse or bath kids in.
Horses graze in the background and there is a 25 acre wetland area preserved for the trout spawning stream that runs through the property.
Nature provides an abundance of fruit trees ,roses to smell and trees for the kids to climb .There are ducks, quail, turkeys and other bird life to fill kids minds with excitement and entertainment in the big outdoors.
Gas for BBQ and firewood are provided.
