Serene and peaceful
We had the most relaxing time surrounded by stunning scenery. Our hosts were very helpful yet unobtrusive, and the interaction with the farms animals was a real highlight for us. 100% Would come back and stay again :)
You would be welcome back anytime!
Unique, peacefu and convenient
Quirky and well thought out accommodation. Rustic vibe but with all creature comforts. Excellent hosts, and a great setting - wish we'd had more time to explore the surroundings.
Second time around for my nephew and me
A perfect playground, exploring ground and resting place. Thank you both for creating this treasure.
Thanks Doug for sharing the wealthy knowledge around the locals, the rocks and etc. The boys love the pet lambs, donkey and of course Tom the dog.
It took us 6 hours (4:30pm) to reach Orongaronga car park. The last 10km was really hard to ride, the surface was either soft or rocky, I remembered you told us kia kaha and we finally made it.
ALl the best.

Relaxing stay and friendly farm animals
We had a lovely stay here for two nights and enjoyed chats with the owner, who was very happy to share farm stories with us. We walked among the sheep, two goats and a sweet donkey (and chickens). Some of the sheep had been pets as lambs and were very friendly. The spot is beautiful, with hidden tracks to explore. We won't forget Gordon, the friendly boar. -Shirley
It was great. It had lots of sheep. The friendly ones kept trying to get our food. We got to go over a little bridge over to the other side of the paddock. Harper, aged 6.
