Why James Earley chose Bellegarde-du-Razès
We chose this property because as soon as we walked up the drive which was surrounded by vineyards and saw the pool and the views we were speach-less. It really was an incredible first impression. The modern house is both beautiful and easy to run. The people of Bellegarde du Razes are the nicest and most welcoming people that we have ever met. We have three children, always difficult to keep entertained but the area offers everything such as canoeing, white water rafting, skiing and all the water sports you can think of at the Med. The house is in a perfect geographical location, it is close to the Mediterranean, near to the Pyrenees and easy enough to drive to Spain as this is only an hour and a half away. The beauty and tranquility of the area will stay with everyone who visits it for ever.
What makes this House unique
A holiday at this property is perfect for all sorts of reasons. It is ideal for those holiday makers who want a quiet walking holiday or for those who want to use the holiday as an opportunity to paint the landscape made famous by Cezanne and other artists and visit areas where Picasso and Dali lived or for those who want a holiday on the Mediterranean enjoying its water parks and water sports.

Lovely house in lovely setting
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this house. Pool was excellent and indoor main living space and outdoor terrace were spacious and attractive. Village with shop. cashpoint and good pizzeria was 5 minute drive away.A lovely part of France and a great holiday.
As a party of eight adults this villa provided everything we could have asked for. The villa was very spacious, the kitchen was well stocked and the furniture in the communal areas was able to cater for us all. The only thing that didn’t was there was only three sun loungers.
The villa was very modern (the photos do not do it justice) and was well maintained. The location provides peace and quiet and the views were amazing.
We could not have managed without a car. The bakery is 5 minutes in the car and the nearest supermarkets 20 minutes. We found the location was quiet central to places to visit such as the fantastic castle in Carcassonne and the lake with a beach with the Pyrenees as a backdrop.
The owner was very responsive to questions and provided excellent information to ensure a great stay.
We will definitely be back next year!
Beautiful location with all the facilities you need for a good family holiday
We are so glad that we chose to stay at Jame's Villa. The house itself is a great open plan, ideal family home with a great kitchen and huge downstairs space. Outside there is a huge patio that can be used for sunbathing or just finding a quiet corner to relax in.
The pool is superb and was definitely a big hit for everyone.
The Villa is situated in a quiet un-overlooked valley with great views of the local vineyards and surrounding rolling hills. Bellegarde du Razes is an ideal base from which to explore the many nearby attractions, we can loved Mirepoix market with its great choice of restaurants and medieval architecture.
We can thoroughly recommend this villa with its fabulous modern facilities and if we come back to this area of France again it would be our absolute first choice.
Thanks Andrew. It really was our pleasure. We are so glad that you enjoyed your holiday
Nous avons passé d'excellentes vacances chez James. La maison est très bien entretenue et propre. Il est facile de prendre contact avec lui, il répond rapidement à nos demandes. Maison au calme tout en étant près pour différentes activités touristiques.
Limoux and Mirepoix are the two nearest villages. Both are beautiful and full of history. Limoux has the longest carnival in the world where as Mirepoix is like stepping back in time. Both have weekly markets, bars and excellent restaurants.
The area is dominated by the Pyrenees which is about a 40 minute drive away whereas 40 minutes to the south are the incredible Mediterranean beaches.
Further afield, just over the Pyrenees is Spain which is about 2 hours by car. This Spanish area is proudly Catalan and radiates beauty from its very heart, the incredible city of Barcelona
This region in France has everything, it has for years inspired the most famous artists in the world, it has some of the best beaches in Europe and is close to the beautifully imposing Pyrenees with all its ski resorts
