About Rebecca Pitt
We are Rebecca and Kevin and we decided to buy the house in Whitstable/Tankerton Slopes from brand new. We have always lived in Kent and have long been fans of the eclectic mix of shops, restaurants and bars that Whitstable and Tankerton offers. As we cant be here all the time with our family and friends we are delighted to offer the opportunity for others to stay and enjoy the delights of Whitstable and Tankerton.
Why Rebecca Pitt chose Canterbury
Thanks for considering our private, sea view mews house close to the beach. If you love a bit of contemporary seaside luxury with privacy and free parking, and free High speed fibre WiFi this could be the ideal place for your Whitstable and Tankerton break. The house has an ideal location on Tankerton slopes giving panoramic sea views. just 500 feet from the beach and a short stroll to shops, bars and restaurants and under a mile to the railway station. Whitstable Castle, Harbour, Bowling Alley and Indoor Swimming Pool are also 10-15 minutes walk. If you plan to stay in Whitstable and Tankerton you can park your car on the drive and walk or cycle to everything. Alternatively, Whitstable and Tankerton are a great base to explore the delights of Kent by car or train.
What makes this House unique
Contemporary, luxurious alternative to the traditional "fisherman's cottages" for those that love a comfy home from home with all mod cons. Parking in Whitstable can be tricky especially in summer so the private under croft parking is a real added bonus. You can walk to everything Whitstable and Tankerton have to offer or stay home, roll back the bi-fold doors from the open Lounge/Kitchen/Diner and enjoy the private, SW Facing, Sunny garden. If you don't want to bring the car the station is just under a mile to walk and central London is just over an hours journey!

Our Whitstable stay
The cottage was very modern, clean and comfortable. The location was amazing being so close to the water. We enjoyed our stay there very much
Such a wonderful place, has everything you could want!
Another amazing break
Beautiful house and wonderful location. Lots of happy times spent in the lovely garden and at the beachfront bars and cafes. We will be back later in the Summer!
Lovely house, well equipped, great location
We liked the Marine hotel which is around the corner and enjoyed the Royal pub restaurant on the seafront. The house garden is a real sun trap and with Tesco’s behind it means that we could pop into it and pick up supplies in minutes
Lovely well laid out modern clean and tidy property just a stones throw from the beach.
Thanks Marcus, Hope you had a great Easter in Tankerton and hope to see you again. Rebecca and Kevin
Lovely place, very well appointed
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Whitstable at the well appointed and located property. Easy access to the beach and amenities. Owners have really thought things through and our stay was really enjoyable.
Thanks for taking the time to do a review Jo-anne. we are so pleased you had an enjoyable stay and hope to welcome you again soon. Rebecca and Kevin
Just a stones throw from the beach (500 feet), with sea views from the luxury en-suite bedroom. Cross Marine Parade and down the slopes/steps to the beach. Have a swim or a BBQ on the beach. Take a short 10-15 minute stroll along the promenade to Whitstable Harbour or a 10 minute stroll to Whitstable Castle. If you prefer, walk your dog on Tankerton Slopes or on the promenade. This has to be one of the most dog friendly towns around, with dogs welcome in most pubs and bars. We welcome dogs to the house by arrangement with the owners. If you stay as a big group or wedding party, the property is situated a 2 minute walk from the Marine Hotel, offering some of the finest accommodation in Whitstable. You can stroll to the famous Jo Jo's tapas restaurant and cocktail bar in 5-10 minutes (booking advised in advance) or take a 5 minute stroll to The Royal pub and have a bite to eat or just a drink out the front while enjoying the sea views.
There are too many great restaurants to mention them all including the famous Whitstable Oyster Company, The Pearsons Arms, The Crab and Winkle, Jo Jo's, Wheelers Oyster Bar, The Lobster Shack. Too many great pubs to mention them all but The Old Neptune and Pearsons Arms are probably the most famous. So much to do mostly in walking or cycling distance from the house including; 10 Pin bowling, Boat Tours, Crab and Winkle Way, Great Stour Way, Laser Rush, Playhouse Theatre, Whitstable Castle and Gardens, Whitstable Harbour, Whitstable Oyster Company, Whitstable Oyster Festival week (Summer), , Whitstable Cycle Hire and Wildwood Wildlife Park to name just a few.
