Oregon Farmhouse Rental Photos and Description

Farmhouse, 2 Bedrooms, 1 Bath, (Sleeps 2-5)

A Peaceful Sanctuary is a beautifully renovated 1928 farmhouse located on an acre of land, nestled in a 60 yr old walnut grove. We are a working farm with Alpacas, Cashmere goats and chickens. Since we are a working farm raising and selling chickens it does require us to be here to do farm chores. We will be happy to try to work around your schedule to give you your privacy.

We are conveniently located 1 mile off I-5 exit 195A on the Eugene/Springfield border. Just 4 miles from the Uofo A Peaceful Sanctuary is perfect for visiting family, business meetings, vacations, Duck Games, Graduations, romantic getaways and as an extended stay.

Come treat yourself to total comfort by sleeping on 650 thread cotton sateen sheets and top of the line queen sized beds, one pillow top and the other firm. Each bedroom has new 28' flat screen TV's with Comcast and Showtime, plus air conditioning. A home office is included for your convenience with a computer and high speed internet as well as wifi. The kitchen is fully equipped as well as a washer and dryer.

Much of the house is decorated by local artists work and antiques. The home with two bedrooms, is minutes from The UofO,The Saturday Market, Autzen Stadium Duck games and The Hult Center. The shuttle bus to Duck games is a block away and is the best way to travel to the game. We are close to a mall, theaters, post office and many restaurants, some walking distance away.

Located in the Willamette Valley, we are only an hour to the coast and the Cascade Mts. We are on the edge of town, with the city on one side and the wilderness on the other. It is not located out in the country we are a working micro-farm in the city. With the city growing most places around town are a short drive. Our farm faces the beautiful Coburg Hills and the crystal clear McKenzie River is a 5 minute walk. Swim and raft the River or take that leisurely stroll and watch the river flow.

Each morning you will receive freshly laid eggs by our hens who are naturally fed and free range as well as organic coffee and tea.

A Peaceful Sanctuary sells naturally fed chickens and eggs. Our hens are fed feed with the main ingredient being peas grown in Oregon with no soy/corn or GMO's.

We have our own laying hens as well as raise chickens for sale. We sell many heritage breeds of extinction, exotic breeds as well as 5 egg a week and green egg layers. On our farm lives Opus and Regalo our Alpacas, 3 goats, Sheila, Rilyn and Westin, a kitty named Merlin and our rescue Chihuahua's Olivia 'Livie', Pepe and Harper.

The farm and animals offer wonderful, heart warming experiences for children and adults a like to carry with them a life time. How could you not fall madly in love with an Alpaca who gives kisses for carrots? Children are always welcome to help me with farm chores, taking care of the animals and collecting the eggs.

If you never have had the experience of being with an Alpaca you are in for a treat. They are the lovers not fighters. Opus and Regalo are sweet, friendly and passive creatures, guaranteed to melt your heart.

Our rates are $120.00 per night. Over 4 guests an additional $10 per night per adult and $5.00 per night per child, plus 9.5% hotel tax and cleaning fee. About Pam Basilius

It is my intention in opening my home for rent to offer comfort, bring happiness to people and make magical memories for children they will carry with them for a lifetime. Life is so challenging for many especially now. It is my way of creating a business that is green, brings peace to people and gives back to the community.

Pam Basilius purchased this farmhouse in 2000

Why Pam Basilius chose Oregon

The reason I chose to buy my house in this location was because of the beautiful land, views and very quaint, homey house and walking distance to the McKenzie River. It was a happy home with 11 children being raised here and you can tell there was a lot of love. We are a mile off I-5 and 4 miles drive to downtown Eugene. The feel of out in the country but close to everything.

What makes this farmhouse unique

You and your family get to experience farm life. We are 1928 working farm nestled in an old Walnut grove with very old vegetation and flowers. There are hummingbirds that feed daily and live here year round feed. The birds feed off feeders just a few feet from house. We are a 5 minute walk from the beautiful McKenzie River.

Such a lovely little farm house!

  • 5 of 5

, family and I had such a wonderful time at the Peaceful Sanctuary farmhouse. The house is adorable and the grounds are lovely. Pam, the owner, was so welcoming and accommodating to whatever we needed... She even leaves a basket of farm-fresh eggs on the counter (they were SO good)! My daughter loved looking at the farm animals too!

Near the trials

  • 4 of 5

This restored farmhouse came with fresh eggs, organic coffee, and a very caring landlord. With five of us on the same schedule, the only downside was limited to one bathroom. It was a quick trip to Hayward Field and all the trial activities. Even the Urgent Care was close when I got sick. Great home, nice location, animals for the enjoyment and a very informative landlord.

Amazing Charm and unforgettable

  • 5 of 5

This place has amazing charm and left an impression on all of us during our visit. A true century old farmhouse that is true to its roots. The view of the backyard from the living area and dining room makes you think of simpler times and very peaceful. An apple tree, grape vines and beautiful flowers all around the landscape. The alpacas were very cute and friendly. The kids loved feeding the chickens and picking up eggs (they called them chores) every morning. Pam was a great host and has a great personality plus her three dogs were super cute. We had fresh eggs every morning for breakfast! The kids can't wait to go back. The beds were very comfortable and we slept like babies. We left with a lot of memories and pictures.

Comfortable stay

  • 3 of 5

Pam, the Farmhouse owner, met me upon my arrival. She was kind and friendly and took the time to introduce her pets. The farmhouse is a timepiece with comfortable, quirky décor, a well supplied kitchen, plenty of TVs and nice linens. The location suited my needs and would be perfect for anyone involved with the adjacent hospital, however guests who may be expecting quiet country isolation will not find it here. Still, I would stay here again.

Fun farm house, close to town!

  • 5 of 5

My family and I stayed here over Memorial Day weekend, and we really enjoyed ourselves. I have two boys (4 and 6) who had an absolute blast playing on the tree outside in the garden, feeding the alpacas and goats, and learning about the animals from Pam. Pam was very engaging with my kiddos, taking them around her farm and educating them. The house is kinda old school, with antique furniture and such. Very cute. We will definitely stay here again when we return to the Eugene area!
