Why The Owner chose Baja California Sur

This property is a rare half acre compound on the beach. Very private, safe and just far enough out of town (half mile) that the stars look close enough to touch...So safe.

Love Loreto!

Our new favorite Mexico destination! I fly for an Airline which travels to several Mexico destinations and Loreto is now my favorite layover spot.

Small town feel but with so many different things to do and see. We even saved several on our list for our next visit. The restaurants recommended by Allen are fabulous. We rented a car and where able to explore the area, which I highly recommend. Our very first night we headed out on a good dirt road, only five miles to La Picazon for dinner. This set the tone for vacation adventure, was so much fun, and worth the short drive. We were blessed to see an amazing moon rise over the water, on a crystal clear evening there. Breathtaking!

La Picazon twice was a must for us and be sure to stop along the way to go shelling on the beach. Coronado Island is full of life and beautiful beaches. Getting picked up right at the house is great and super convenient . We are heading back soon!

Barbara and Allen are such gracious hosts and delightful!!!

Thank you both for sharing your piece of paradise with us.

Shhhhh.... Don't tell anyone.

Hello, fellow travelers.

I do not even know where to start, because my family and I just had one of the best vacations of our lives. We would like this place all to ourselves, but cannot get away more than once or twice a year. This leaves time for the rest of you to enjoy.

Let's start with the beautiful city of Loreto... We have now been to the great country of Mexico, close to 30 times (and ALL over). THIS CITY IS A KEEPER! You will find this quaint little town incredibly lovely, and most welcoming. The food (everywhere) is amazing, and the people are even more so. We really felt welcome, everywhere we went, over our two week stay. Again, this town is special.

Now, on to the accommodations at the Jordan property....

The guest home, is what we would call "world class", and perfect for two couples, or a smaller family. Super clean, and just a great living space, with all the extras laid out for you. But, with the addition of our gracious hosts, it takes it to another level. Within 1 hour of our arrival, we were being shown all around this gem of a town. We instantly felt like family.

Now, it get's better.... I love to fish, and Al totally took care of us. I have fished all over Mexico, and have never had a better experience, on the water (so good, we went TWO times). Barbara, and Al are there if you need anything, from shopping to fishing, to dining and beyond. It was so nice to have local experts, to point us in the right direction.

Back to the property... Wake up to the amazing sunrise, walk past the incredible pool, and you are on the beach. Walk for miles if you like, but you can walk to town and have breakfast, in around 20 min. Come back home, and enjoy the pool and the surrounding gardens, and coutryard. This place is special.

Let's just keep this place between you and I.

Tom, Chantel and April.

See you soon, Barbara and Al

The owners were awesome. Drove us around and pointed out best places to eat and shop. They also arranged a fishing trip with a guide. The Casita was well equipped and spotless. Very quit and safe.

This is an extremely nice property. Well maintained and inviting for even the most discerning.

Not our first visit to Mexico, but our first time in Loreto. So, from the moment we arrived both Barbara and Alan Jordan, owners, couldn't have been more welcoming. Their home and the casita are impressive and comfortable. The beds....fantastic!

We rented a car so we were able to navigate easily within the town, but only after Alan Jordan took us on a tour of the town and pointed out known and unknown gems for eating, entertainment and excursions. Would not have known what to do without his help.

Without a doubt this was a very enjoyable vacation and my wife and I could not recommend this oasis more except wish we had stayed longer. Peaceful, quiet, comfortable and convenient - what else could you ask for....?

Barbara and Alan's casita and property are beautiful and clean both inside and out.

  • 5 of 5

Barbara and Alan have created a piece of paradise. From the entryway to the courtyard, a beautiful arched door frames a dazzling fountain with droplets of water that sparkle in the sun. The view from the patio of the casita is equally enchanting; the palm trees sway and dance in front of the sea and put on a show for free. My favorite memory of the property is that of drinking coffee by the pool while watching the sunrise over the Sea of Cortez. Really though, we enjoyed every minute of our stay. The people of Loreto are, in large part, what makes it such a special place. And, Barbara and Alan are no exception. They go the extra mile to be accommodating. Their knowledge of the community and fun things to do in Loreto was so helpful. There are so many wonderful activities to enjoy. We went whale watching out beyond Danzante Island and saw Blue Whales and flying Manta Rays. We made good use of the hiking book, beach towels, and cooler that were in the casita and took a 20 minute walk out to a beautiful secluded beach by Doctor's Point. We spent the day watching birds and dolphins. Alan encouraged us to drive up to the San Javier Mission. It's a scenic drive to an oasis in the mountains above Loreto. All of the restaurants they recommended were also wonderful- great food and great service. We'll definitely be coming back to Loreto and can't imagine a better place to stay.

Perfect Get Away!

  • 5 of 5

As others have stated, this was a fantastic place to stay while visiting the wonderful town of Loreto. My husband and I spent a week unwinding from the hectic pace of everyday life! This rental was located in the perfect location - quiet and calming yet convenient for visits to town. On our day of arrival Alan showed us the best of the local restaurants and shops. We visited several of his recommendations and really enjoyed the restaurants La Picazon (well worth the drive) and Vista al Mar (aka the Clam Shack). Alan arranged for Francisco to pick us up in his panga right in front of the house for a beautiful day on the Sea Of Cortez and the island of Coronado. We also spent a day driving to the quaint town of San Javier and another drive to the Pacific Ocean side of the peninsula to witness the beautiful grey whales and their babies. After our days out and about it was always nice to return to our home away from home. The accommodations could not have been more pleasant - the bed was so comfy, very spacious interior, kitchen stocked with everything and we enjoyed coffee every morning on our own patio with the beautiful view of the sea. Many thanks to Barbara and Alan for opening up this Casita for others to enjoy.
