INA met us and welcomed us- lots of handy hints- great location- stairs as described in previous comments- narrow and steep - we never experienced any noisy neighbours- a few light bulbs needed replacing but mostly good experience- thank you
Delightful base for exploring Amsterdam
This charming third floor apartment is located on a quiet side street just off the Singel canal. It is spacious, comfortable and well equipped. Everything is in good order, and works well. When the windows were opened at both ends, there is a refreshing breeze thru the apartment. There is no lift, so you do need to be fit enough to climb three flights of stairs.
We enjoyed a full week here, and the location is perfect for seeing all of Amsterdam. The restaurant downstairs, Il Paciccone, is quite good. There is a bicycle rental shop nearby in the neighborhood, and we rented bikes a couple days to get all around town. There is a grocery store a couple hundred meters away. This is a very nice location.
Our hosts we very gracious and communicative, giving us a very warm welcome. Much appreciated!
We wish we had stayed even longer, and will definitely look to book it again the next time we return to Amsterdam.
A Gem of an Apartment in Central Amsterdam
This was a wonderful apartment right in the heart of the city of Amsterdam. It is located on a pedestrian only street and occupies the length of the third floor - this meant it was quiet, safe, bright, and offered great breezes when both the front room and bedroom windows were open. The apartment is as pictured and has all the amenities one would expect in their own home. The washer and dryer was welcomed and the bathroom large. The stairs to the apartment were steep but very doable and typical for any Amsterdam apartment. The entry area of the building was safe, well lit, and clean. The apartment was a great oasis after hours of walking around Amsterdam and enjoying all the history, shops, and food. Local amenities (e.g., grocery) and restaurants were all within walking distance as was the train station. There are many local pubs within several blocks which were fun to visit. The check-in and check-out process was easy and flexible. Victoria was very responsive to questions. I would definitely stay here again. A true gem.
Close to the train station
We discovered our building sprouts restaurants on the ground floor at dinner time. How delightful. We tried the Italian which was genuine and yummy. No reason to treck over to the Jardan for eats.
Great apartment, fab location
We loved our stay in this well appointed and very well situated apartment. It was clean, comfortable and quiet and within walking distance of many different attractions. We had excellent communication with Victoria and wouldn’t hesitate to rent again if we return to Amsterdam.
Living like a native in Amsterdam
Staying in this lovely, historic, beautifully kept apartment was a highlight of our week in Amsterdam. The location is ideal, an easy walk from the Central Station, half a block from Singel, one of the longest canals and main walking streets in the city, and perfectly situated to eat well, explore everything, and feel part of a neighborhood. Although I'd spent a lot of time before arriving looking at tram and metro routes, we ended up walking everywhere -- the museums, restaurants, markets, even to the Houthavens district for a conference at Theatre Amsterdam. The kitchen is well appointed, the big table is perfect for hanging out to do a bit of work or linger over breakfast, the bed is supremely comfortable, and the entire apartment feels immediately like a home. We completely appreciated returning to this serene and welcoming space after a long day of sightseeing and soaking up the city. There were fresh flowers in a vase upon our arrival, and Victoria was readily available by text to answer questions. Check-in was easy and all the communications and directions were clear. We felt like natives, shopping at the local grocery store, and getting to know the nearby cafes and hang-outs. I've stayed in many airbnb apartments and this is one of the best.
