About Cathy Guiader
I'm an historian and a French teacher. I live mainly in Ireland where I look after my lovely granddaughter Blathnaid. I come to my apartment for my research. I speak French and English.
Cathy Guiader purchased this Apartment in 2008
Why Cathy Guiader chose Glasgow
The view is fantastic. All the advantages of the City Centre but not the inconvenient. Only 22 apartments in the building. Close to everything. The rooms are spacious and 92m² is a good size for an apartment.
What makes this Apartment unique
The neighbourhood is quiet & safe. The balcony is a must. Being so near the river is excellent.

Good location. Convenient to train stations and many of Glasgow’s historic attractions.
Thank you for your review dear Jerry & Hope.
Was not sure if the checkin would work, but it did.
Needed some help with the hot water and the internet, but that might have been due to not reading and remembering all of the instructions. All in all, a great place in a great location.
Dear Ted and Pat
Thank you for your nice review. Yes, everything was in the file that I sent to you....I always ask to my guests to print it.
Thank you for leaving my apartment so clean.
Kindest regards, CATHY
Sophisticated Glasgow Penthouse
We know Glasgow well and needed a flat for two couples and a 5 year old grandchild while attending family wedding at St Andrew's in the Square. Cathy's Penthouse was perfect. 360° views of the City and beyond from the 11th floor. Magical sunrises and sunsets from the lounge and balcony. All mod cons and very tastefully laid out and decorated. You
have the top floor all to yourself. Situated right on the banks of the Clyde at Customs House Quay at the foot of Buchanan Street, Glasgow is literally on your doorstep. Communications throughout was speedy, informative and effective. The beds are exceptionally comfortable and the jacussi bath is very relaxing. Metered Street parking is an enjoyable 7 minute stroll across the River via the nearby footbridge, and there is also a Q Park in the next block. Cathy was a superior Host and our stay at The Penthouse was perfect for us.
Thank you very much. I have to add that you were superior guests!
Kindest regards, CATHY
Beautiful Penthouse Appartement with stunning view
We spent three very enjoyable days in Glasgow staying in Cathy’s apartment. The apartment is beautifully appointed with almost 360 degree views over Glasgow and the River Clyde. Cathy’s attention to detail is faultless and your every comfort is catered for including an enormous king sized bed! The apartment is also very well located close to Buchanan Street, St. Enoch Metro Station, City Center, Museums, etc.
Glasgow is a beautiful city to visit and the people are most hospitable. We have very happy memories of our visit. Thank you Cathy.
Thank you so much for this great review Patricia.
3 days are not enough. You'll have to come back.
Thanks also to leave my apartment spotless.
Glasgow City culture
My husband is disabled, so to have a loading bay just outside the entrance to the flat was brilliant, also the flat floor to the lift,, which took us straight up the the apartment. There is a private hallway outside the flat where we were able to leave the wheelchair and our outdoor shoes. The flat it's self was spacious clean and modern. We'll stocked and kind extras like home made marmalade and chutney. The beds were super comfortable and the flat warm and welcoming. The best part of the flat was the views of the river Clyde and bridges... Also it is situated right in the center of town, within easy walking of every thing, and the regular extensive bus network was also easy access, as we're the trains. I also found free parking just over the river.... This is a fabulous flat I loved being on the top floor, watching and hearing the busy world below, the night lights and the sun rise and the sun set, were a Co stant entertainment .... I would love to go back and stay longer....
Thank you very much for this great and practical review dear Candide. I've many guests coming with wheelchair and I'm sure that they will appreciate your review.
Come back whenever you wish, you'll always be welcome. CATHY
Overwhelming view both during the day but especially in the evening. So much so that we only went out to dinner once. Bang center of Glasgow! 5 min walking distance to Glasgow central station and 8 mins to Queen Street, for trains for Edinburgh, 40 mins trip every 20 mins. 8 mins to George Sq. where all the tour buses leave. And shopping, well Argyle Street and Buchanan Street about 150 mts. The apartment was so well equipped that we could have saved on weight in our baggage for toiletries. We arrived late so couldnt do any shopping but when we arrived there was everything for breakfast the following morning and more, even a nespresso machine!! It was a 3 girl holiday, no husbands or kids, we wanted something central for a little bit of sightseeing and a little bit of shopping, the apartment was so great, both in location and comfort that both of my friends are taking their families later on in the year.
I can't thank Cathy enough, for her kindness, she really has thought of everything, you can even make long distance calls to a land line free of charge!!!! How's that for service???
I personnaly go regularily to scotland and so will always try and book this apartment. I sincerely hope you do the same. Linda
