Sonora in Spanish means Pleasant Sounding and as soon as you walk into this casita that is constructed of hay bales and stucco, you will not only hear and see what it means, but also feel what it means.

The Sonora Casita is private with a combined bedroom and sitting area that is waiting to help you unplug, unwind, and enjoy yourself. This beautifully decorated Southwestern style casita is equipped with a full kitchen, gorgeous walk-in shower, soothing hot tub, and a king-size bed.

The casita has off street parking and is surrounded with southwest-style landscaping. It offers you all of the modern conveniences with a quite, county-like setting. The Sonora is just a few blocks from our wonderful Main Street area lined with restaurants, wine tasting rooms, bars, art galleries, shops and much more! You are ensured to have an enjoyable and memorable weekend in historic, charming Fredericksburg.

The Willows is a unique property where each lodging can be rented individually or as a whole to hold family reunions, corporate retreats, group getaways, and girl/guys weekends. Be sure to enjoy some of the finest restaurants, wineries, art galleries, and shops in Central Texas!

Perfect hidden retreat

The property was just s described, cozy country feel but close to downtown. When we arrived there was Christmas music on and bottle of wine. Sitting on the porch in the morning was so peaceful with the birds and morning light. The hot tub was just what we needed and was plenty big enough for two. The hosts were very responsive and easy to communicate with as well. We would definitely come back here and recommend the big house for larger groups. My only ‘complaint’ was that there were only 2 bath towels for the shower and for a 3 day trip and hot tube a few more would have been nice. It was tough trying to get them dry before the next use. Luckily we found the space heater in the bathroom.

Great stay!

Location of the property is in town close to all that Fredericksburg has to offer, but is located on a great lot that makes you feel you are not in town.

Cute little place but dirty

Cute place but dirty and nothing worked. In the description there should have been a bottle of wine with the snacks, none. Someone left a face mask on the counter. There was trash in the middle of the floor as well as the shower. The hot tub did not work so when I found the breaker it came on but never got hot, stayed about 97. Someone had removed the TV setting to be able to access the cable box connection. My only complaint about the property setup would be how close you actually are to the next house, as far as the property itself and the house itself it’s a nice place. My main complaint is for the people that take care of this place should have cleaned properly and made sure everything was in working order before my arrival. I’m sure they drank my bottle of wine too!

We love the Hill Country because of its rolling, rugged limestone hills filled with caves, caverns, lazy rivers and dotted with small towns of times past filled with local art and history. Recently the New York Times called the Texas Hill Country the #1 vacation spot in the nation and Wine Enthusiast magazine listed it as the second most visited wine region in the United States next to Napa Valley.
Fredericksburg, situated in the center of the Hill Country, is known for its unique blend of German and Mexican heritage, ranchers, galleries, Harleys, and outdoor bistros. Today’s Fredericksburg retains its German roots but is all Texas in its approach to the laid-back good life. Fredericksburg is a small town with a soft layer of sophistication at the crossroads of peach orchards, vineyards, wildflower trails and longhorn herds.
