Fantastic accomodation in a fabulous location.
A beautiful, quality barn providing excellent luxury accomodation. Plenty of space, private bedrooms with lovely en suites. Comfortable beds with Sealy mattresses. Away from it all and so relaxing and peaceful in gorgeous countryside. Plenty of good restaurants and eateries within easy reach.Harriet makes you feel welcome and quickly responds if your have any questions from booking to leaving the accomodation.
We booked both barns for my wife's 60th birthday over a year ago and Harriet couldn't have been more helpful in providing me with all different information that I had asked about.
The barns were both stunning to see on arrival and the interiors and furnishings immaculate.
A lot of care and thought had been put in and the specification was excellent.
We all ate in the Brockham barn and Harriet had put tables and chairs in the dining area to accommodate us all.
We all had a great time both in the barn and exploring the local area and the local villages and towns were lovely and the scenery stunning.
I can recommend Low Ploughlands very highly and we definitely will be back at some time in the future.
It was pleasure having you to stay in our barns and we look forward to welcoming you back in the future.
Outstanding Barns....! Very high spec & spacious.
The Brockram & Keld Barns are exactly what we wanted for a short break with friends, comprising of four families. They are beautiful & very spacious with the outdoor areas perfect for the families children ages 6-15.
Harriet & Ed made us all feel at home with the added extra of an on-line shop being put away for us all upon arrival. The barns were warm and very high spec with all the essential that you could want. I would recommend both barns if you want a secluded break away from it all & in a beautiful setting. We will be back very soon.
I am glad you had a good break and we look forward to welcoming you back soon.
Absolutely Stunning - Awesome stay
A real pleasure and worth every mile of travel up from Bristol
A credit to the owners who have gone into some serious detail in ensuring this place is nothing short of perfect
A beautifull lay out and tastefully furnished along with the wood fire was the sherry on top
Garden has a lovely barbecue with lovely table and chairs
Secure enough for the kids and surrounded by beauty of this landscape which you just don't seem to get enough of
Total peace and quiet away from life's usual hustle and bustle
Thank you Harriet and Ed, we will certainly plan another trip and recommend to our family and freinds

Stunning barns in a beautiful location!
Our party of 14, consisting of young couples and families LOVED our stay at Low Ploughlands. The barns are finished to such a beautiful standard and the views from the barns are breathtaking.
My 2 year old son and his best friend really enjoyed their stay too, especially playing in the garden!
We've already booked our return stay because we just couldn't fault this fabulous holiday let. Thank you so much to Harriet and her family for making us feel so welcome! We'll see you again soon!
Stayed recently with a large group occupying both properties. They have just been completed and I was impressed by the high standard of the finish. Everything has been thought of, very comfortable beds, great showers and baths, large sitting room with woodburners and comfortable sofas along with good sized kitchens. Whilst the weather wasn't on our side there was plenty of garden space.
Owners were very friendly and helpful and recommended a very good pub, the Belah Bridge Inn at Brough Sowerby.
Highly recommended, will definitely be returning.
Our location is enviable, the barn looks out to the Pennines in the East, which often glow red in the evening light and by day the clouds dance their shadow across them; to the south you can see the marching army of Nine Standards where the Coast to Coast path crosses into Yorkshire and the Mallerstang Valley which holds the source of the River Eden; to the north and south is a rural idyll of farmland and woodland that hold bountiful wildlife from Roe Deer, Red Squirrel, Hare and Stoat to name but a few.
We are a few miles from the extended North Yorkshire National Park, which has endless walks, cycle rides and many other outdoor activities.
Nearby are cosy village pubs, to enjoy good local country fare. The local towns of Appleby and Kirkby Stephen are full of historical buildings, cafe's and gift shops.
If you fancy venturing further our nearest lake is Ullswater which is about 40 minutes bu car. Here you can climb, catch steam boats, sail or simply enjoy the views.
