About Shaun & Christine Conner
We moved to Devon with our young family in 2006. We both run our own businesses from home and enjoy a rare quality of life with our sons in this beautiful rural location. We spend our summers fishing and surfing and our winters on various rugby pitches and enjoying some of the beautiful local walks with our dogs. We look forward to sharing it with you.
Why Shaun & Christine Conner chose Exeter
This is the ideal location for a family holiday taking in both city and countryside. You are surrounded by Devon's iconic rolling green hills but close to the city of Exeter for shopping and cinema. Cornwall is an hour away with its golden beaches, surfing and tourist destinations including Rock, Padstow and locations from Rosamund Pilcher, Poldark and Doc Martin. Organic local food is available and the many local pubs serve good food and a warm welcome.
What makes this Barn unique
We love the house and the gardens and we enjoy panoramic views. Devon provides an ideal childhood for our boys and peace for us from the bustle of work

cosy barn conversion
Barn nicely converted, with very comfortable beds and in an ideal location for exploring Devon. Whilst everything was lovely and clean the lack of comfy seats (3 for 4 of us) together with the rusty microwave spoilt it slightly as did the half hour wasted trying to find the place on the day of arrival - since the sign to the farm is NOT on the roadside but painted on a stone about 5 yds up the drive not easily visible from the road. Apparently the two white stones on the verge indicate the turning - unfortunately this was not mentioned when we were given the address!! Nevertheless an enjoyable stay overall.
Fantastic stay, we didn't need to take anything with us.
Beautiful Barn conversation with all you could possibly want for a 5* stay. We had a fantastic time here and would recommend to all family and friends..
Stayed before so knew what to expect.
Peace and quiet with the sound of farmyard animals to wake you up. Bliss.
4 day long weekend stay at end of April
very nice barn conversion with nice touches such as comfortable 5ft bed made from solid timber, good cooking facilities including a cafetiere, good heating system, nice powerful shower with plenty of warm water.
Friendly welcome on arrival.
Weather was cold but not raining.
Very enjoyable days in Dartmoor, Exmoor and Exeter.
Tim and Christine
It was a pleasure to meet Tim & Christine on their long weekend away. They certainly made the most of their days in beautiful Devon and the barn was left beautifully clean too - Cheers! ;) come back soon.
Clean and cosy
A lovely clean and cosy cottage , friendly owners who checked we had settled in and were happy with everything. Well equipped with everything you need to have a great stay if self catering. Really comfortable bed, plenty of hot water for bath after a long day cycling the Tarka Trail . Great pub- The Red Lion with lovely food just a few minutes down the road with great hospitality and very friendly locals. Thank you for being able to accommodate our dates .
A car is recommended for this property but there is a request bus stop at the end of the drive. Property set on top of a steep hill. Lovely local walks and easy road access to Dartmoor and an hour from the beaches of Cornwall. Beautiful and restful touring destination
