This home is a charming example of old St. Simons charm. Situated on a quiet street completely shaded by live oaks, you will feel like you have stepped back in time. The home is located at 609 Sea Breeze Drive in St. Simons. We are a short walk to the beach and to the village. Outside, there is a shaded deck area with Adirondack chairs and a gas grill.
Inside, the home is family friendly with a large living room area with sunroom and a stone fireplace (currently not functional for fires). The living room has a TV, DVD, and wireless internet. The kitchen is fully stocked for cooking and dining, with a dining area that seats 6 people at the table. Off of the kitchen is a large utility room with a full sized washer and dryer. There are 2 bedrooms and a bathroom on the first floor. The first bedroom contains a queen sized bed. The second downstairs bedroom has a queen sized bed, a twin bed with an additional twin trundle underneath, and a flat screen TV. The second floor contains the third bedroom with a queen sized bed and private bath and a TV. Note that this is an older cottage, so the second floor ceiling is quite low (6 1/2 feet), so may not be suitable for tall guests.
My husband and I are native Atlantans and currently reside in Dunwoody. I have been coming to the St. Simons area my entire life. My husband fell in love with the area during a visit to St. Simons over New Years Weekend 2000. On an impulse, we purchased our first property on St. Simons during that fateful trip and it was the best decision that we have made. We love visiting the area with our 2 girls and can't wait for the day that we can spend even more time on the coast.

Ever since we purchased our first rental property, we have been on the lookout for an actual house as opposed to a townhome. We knew this home was for us when we drove down the shaded street under the arched live oaks - I am so happy to actually have some of these wonderous giants in our yard! We loved the charm of this house with the wood paneling and stone fireplace - the old St. Simons feel.
This is a very quiet street with plenty of privacy. We are close to the beach and the village but away from the crowds.
We had a wonderful 3 weeks in the Seabreeze house! We would love to come back next year. Thanks again!
The home was perfectly situated - a very short walk to the beach. It was very clean and inviting; all the amenities were there too. We loved the neighborhood and even chatted with the lady next door who couldn't be nicer. St. SImon's village is very close too with lots of great restaurants. We especially enjoyed Iguana's and the Blue Water cafe. A short drive to Sal's Italian restaurant was well worth it. The beach was very clean and welcoming to families. We will definitely be returning next year!!
My husband and I, along with our son and daughter-in-law and three grandchildren, had a wonderful time in St. Simons while staying in this quaint little cottage. It was comfortable and cozy, on a quiet shaded street, with all the amenities of home. The kids all said they wanted to live there. By the way, the owner was very helpful through the whole process.
My family and I had a wonderful time staying at this house. It's close to everything, quiet and very comfortable. We would love to stay here again.
Quaint Bungalow is located on a quiet street within a five minute walk to the beach. It has everything you need for a relaxing stay. Elissa was easy to work with and responded quickly to questions. Super clean and well stocked. We would certainly return there in the future!
This was our fourth two month stay in the bungalow and we are booked again for next year. The house combines old Saint Simon's charm with the necessary improvements to be really comfortable. Unlike some of our friends who complain that places they rent on SSI are poorly equipped and maintained, the bungalow is well equipped and the owners not only maintain it but regularly improve it. This year we found new paint in the living room, kitchen and downstairs bath plus a new heat pump installed. When we notified them that the clothes washer had quit, Sears delivered a new one in a few days.
One of the many things we like about the house is the utility/laundry room. It is big enough to store our bikes, golf clubs, beach chairs, dog food and kayak stuff other than the boats themselves.
As others have observed, the location and neighborhood are great. We are 71 and 69 yoa and daily walk to the beach and village with ease. Parking the car for days is such a pleasure. We recommend happy hour at Palm Coast in the village, also Iguanas for their grouper sandwich, MelloMushroom pizza and Georgia Sea Grill. You will enjoy yourself here.
We spent a month at the Quaint Bungalow on Saint Simons Island and found the home to be comfortable and roomy. During the month, we had a few guests and unanimously, they all found the house as charming as we did. The location is ideally located with a short walk to the Village and a shorter walk to the beach. This was our third year on the island and our first year at this home. By far, this was the best place for us. We love to walk and our car stayed parked for days at a time while we strolled the beach, walked to restaurants and the many nice stores in the Village. The home is well-appointed and we found everything we needed during our stay. The house is clean and well-maintained. Our hosts, Elissa and Rick were available by phone when we had questions but otherwise, we had total privacy. Neighbors are friendly, both other vacationers and full-time residents. We will be going back next year!
