From the King bed, with the most comfortable mattress [top-of-line, as used at The Ritz], the Ocean is reflected in the floor to ceiling mirrors.

Desk if you must work; upgraded secure WIFI with private secure password for this unit only.

The Whaler has free Washer/Dryer's on every floor. They are located near the elevator bank, across from the trash shute.

Beginning April 2016 a Resort Fee of $16/night is paid to the Front Desk at checkout, increasing to $17/night April 1, 2017, and $20/night as of June 1, 2017.

As a guest at The Whaler for over 20 years, I wanted my own 'home-away-from home'. The Whaler condominium property is unique in that it is on Maui's #1 beach, and has great new tennis courts. Right outside your doorstep, The Whaler location is convenient for ocean front swimming and snorkeling, 2 golf courses, many restaurants, and world class shopping next door at Whalers Village, which also has an ABC convenience market. The great snorkel beach at Black Rock is just steps away. The Whaler Condo/Hotel with front desk services, activities/concierge service, business center, bell desk, gym, sauna, and salon, meets every travelers needs.

What makes this condo unique

Wonderfully upgraded, totally remodeled and designer furnished, the intimate lanai has and a spectacular view of the entire bay of Black Rock.

During winter months, you can watch the whale migration from the lanai.

The expanded full size kitchen is a pleasure to work in, with the ocean reflected in the mirror wall.

The moment we arrived at the Whaler we were welcomed with open arms. We arrived 5 hours before check in and the front end staff were amazing and very accommodating. They stored our bags gave us a beach bag, lotion, towels and notified us when our room was ready. We stayed in tower 1 #814 a studio unit that was so adorable, clean and tastefully decorated. I received a phone call from Marianne a few days after arrival to see how we were and if everything was ok with the unit and if we had any issues to call and let her know. You meet so many amazing fun loving people here and the reason is simple, The Whaler staff, grounds and individual owners such as Marianne make it wonderful.

Peaceful and Relaxing

We just returned from a week at the Whaler unit 814. The condo is beautiful and the description of the unit was accurate. Very well maintained and well appointed. King size bed is extremely comfortable and it was so lovely to fall asleep to the sound of the ocean. Highly recommend this unit.

Marianne was great and very quick to reply. Loved the condo. Very good use of space. Great views. Staff at The Whaler were excellent and very welcoming and helpful. Location is perfect, pretty much in the center of anywhere you would want to go in Maui. Will definitely try to return and hopefully for a longer stay next time.

I love this place on earth. It is literally my happy place. The condo is very well kept up and has everything one could ask for. Close to the beach and you can see black rock and whales from the lanai. Just steps from the beach.

Relax and enjoy the beach.

We stayed for 8 nights in Whaler studio # 814. The view is excellent with the sounds of the waves breaking on the beach. The studio is well appointed and is well suited for a couple.

The black rock side is a desirable location from many points of view.

There is some noise from the adjacent hotels roof top air conditioner compressor.

We highly recommend studio # 814.

We loved this studio condo! It has been the best condo that we have stayed in in Maui.

This condo is beautiful. The views are fantastic. We loved sitting and having breakfast on the lanai and whale watching was the best. The kitchen is well equipped for a cook like me. My husband likes a big breakfast so it was great to cook in such a clean and nice kitchen. We like all of the closet space and all of the hangers as we like to unpack everything and not live out of a suitcase. We like the 8th floor as we like to sit on the lanai both in the morning and at night when we came "home" from our busy day. Everything was neat, clean, and tidy and everything in working order. Marianne is also wonderful to work with.

Kaanapali Beach has fantastic snorkeling in the Bay of Black Rock, in front of the Sheraton Hotel to the North. The beach is Maui's #1 beach and one of the 10 best beaches in the world. Walk to Whalers Village shopping center and restaurants next door on the South side of Tower 2. From our super most private location on the North side of Tower 1, we do not have cooking smells from the restaurants, nor the very early morning trash and delivery trucks to Whalers Village.
