We have enjoyed the beauty of Indian Valley for over 30 years visiting family in this area. We came across this little house on one visit in 2001 and began the process spending many hours creating a home we could enjoy with our family, friends and now you. We hope those of you who choose to visit this little house will get the same enjoyment in these beautiful mountains as we have.
The house more than we expected. Clean and cozy we enjoyed our Christmas vacation there. There many perks- well stocked kitchen, spacious are for my husband, me and our 5 year old son. We spent a day in the snow, a day at the hot springs, and a day hiking Indian Falls, all a short drive from the house. We only ate one meal out and spent the morning and evenings snuggled up by the fire, cooking meals, playing board games and watching movies. It was because of the kitchen, which opened into the sitting room, that we only ate one meal out, enjoying each other's company while preparing meals. We would definitely visit again.
My family stayed here while in Greenville for a wedding. Meggie, the owner, was super helpful and accommodating. It was clean, nice and close to everything with a view of the beautiful Indian Valley. Would definitely stay here again. Thank you Meggie.
We had a great time, the cabin was very clean and welcoming! It fit 3 people and our dog perfectly. The owner is very easy to work with and made sure the house was warm and ready for our arrival.
It's a good spot for being close by to the area and easy to get to. The town is very small, but we came prepared and didn't need for anything.
We were seeking a quiet weekend getaway location and home base while we explored the Lake Almanor area. The cottage was ideal as it was centrally located within the area. We found the property comfortable and clean, and well appointed with all that we needed. The porch was a favorite from which we spent mornings enjoying our coffee while watching the sunrise, and evenings with a glass of wine gazing at the stars. We look forward to our next visit.
We really liked staying at this cottage. It's small but pleasant, and well equipped with kitchenware and everything else we found ourselves wanting. Both the main bed and the daybed are very comfortable. It was very quiet. The train tracks are not too far away and you can hear the occasional train whistle, but that would be the case pretty much anywhere in Greenville, I imagine.
No complaints, and we'd happily stay there again.
We rented this property to visit my family in Greenville. We have 3 kids so the size was perfect and the doors made it easy to on-the-go childproof. It is walking distance from the main part of Greenville. There is a small lawn area out back but you should keep an eye on the kids near the road. We did not need to bring as much stuff as we did. The house was stocked with everything one could need. Thank you for the lovely stay.
