Beautiful waterfront retreat owned and newly designed and renovated by an Interior Designer in 2012. The property is located on a deep-water, no fixed bridges Intracoastal Canal with ability to dock a 100' yacht. This property is a 2 block walk to the exclusive beaches of the Galt Ocean Mile.

The wonderful indoor/outdoor Florida lifestyle is enhanced by a sparkling pool with outdoor Dining area and comfortable sunning chaise loungers. All this while you look over the calm water of the Intracoastal Canal. Watch the amazing sunsets from the the boat dock on the water.

The Living Room features a large TV with a DVD player and stereo. The Kitchen has new appliances and granite counter tops and opens directly to the pool area. The Master Bedroom and Queen Bedroom open onto the pool deck and feature ceiling fans.

All Bedrooms have their own television. The Family Room features a Queen-size pull-out sleeper sofa and has its own television and a desk with high-speed internet access and a fax/copy machine for your convenience.

Visited this beautiful home in early June on a family trip. The pictures do not do justice to this beautiful home and it's amazing location. We had a great time swimming, relaxing by the pool and dining on the outdoor patio. One day we walked over to the beach and enjoyed a great day playing in the sand. It was even better that just a 5 minute walk had us back in our "home away from home". The house has everything you need for a relaxing kick-back vacation but is close to markets and shopping. We hope to make this an annual trip and look forward to our next visit!

Great house, great neighborhood, great experience!

Visited Ft. Lauderdale with friends and family and stayed at this great house in a beautiful location right on the water. The house suited our needs perfectly. It was comfortable, spacious, clean, well-equipped and tastefully decorated. We had a wonderful time BBQ'ing and relaxing by the pool. Its convenient location was close to the beach (important!), restaurants, markets and stores. A safe neighborhood for walking, running and bike riding fun. When we return to Ft. Lauderdale, we would definitely stay at this home again!

I smell a RAT

We rented this home as a seasonal rental. Owner was untruthful from the beginning. We paid in full for a different property that he owns in a nicer neighborhood of Ft Lauderdale, only to be informed one month prior to our arrival that the property was not available due to fire. Being unable to secure a different seasonal rental on such short notice, we took his offer to stay in this property instead. Later, we were informed that the fire in the house we originally signed a lease for had taken place over a year prior to us signing the lease and wiring funds. Below is a list of other problems that we encountered with this owner and his property.

RODENTS – near the end of our lease, the home became infested with mice and rats. The rodents did not enter the living space of the house, but they did reside in the attic and walls. We heard chewing, squeaking and scrambling. The smell was horrible. We dealt with exterminators several times a week, which set traps and removed dead rodents. One bathroom vanity was filled with mice droppings. Eventually the rodent problem and smell drove us to vacate the property prior to the end of our lease. •Queen headboard was infested with termites. Owner and property manager saw no urgency in the matter so we took it upon ourselves to purchase tools, disassemble the headboard, remove it from the house and clean up insects and droppings •Ant infestation. Terminix was there to bait ants but the problem persisted for several weeks. Ants were coming from the recessed lighting in the ceiling and falling onto our bed. •Bathroom off kitchen had a horrible smell. Assuming it came from the rodents living in the wall, we sealed the open areas around pipes •Broken gas grill. Bad gas leak, which woke us in the middle of the night. Grill was replaced but should have been in good working order prior to our arrival •Not allowed to open sliding glass doors of bedrooms-fire hazard •No air conditioning vents in any of the bathrooms •House/doors/windows are not sealed well–small lizards are found in master bedroom/bath almost daily/insects in hall bath. •Could not use toaster and microwave at same time without tripping a breaker •Living room windows were filthy (we washed them ourselves) •Cable and wi-fi were shut off for non-payment (included in our rent) •Dryer not vented properly •Garage door opener is broken; door is heavy and hard to open. We put up with way too much for the premium price we paid for this rental. Beware

Owner's Response: This review is in RETALIATION for not giving in to these renters demands. The items they list are greatly exaggerated or all out lies in an attempt to punish me with an over-the-top nasty review. THE REAL STORY: They rented this property in 2013 as a vacation seasonal rental for several months. During that stay, they enjoyed the property so much they reserved the property for the same time for the following year for several months. Four months into that second rental, they asked me to allow them out of their seasonal lease and refund their money because they were wanting to relocate permanently to Florida and found a long term rental which they wanted to rent for less money. This other property had to be taken quickly or they would lose that opportunity and they didn’t want to have to pay rent on 2 properties. They wanted out of my rental 2 MONTHS EARLY. Once I declined to let them out of their lease, (I had turned down other renter's inquires over that past year) I received written threats through E-mail that if I did not let them out of their lease they would notify all kinds of agencies, take legal action and write an unfavorable review. In the renter’s review, by their own admission, they left the garage door open every time they did laundry or used bikes and witnessed a field mouse entering a wall in the garage. The garage door opener was intentionally disabled so the garage couldn’t be opened for security reasons and so animals could not enter the garage. They forced the garage door open and frequently left it open at their leisure. This resulted in substantial expense for me to address the rodent problem which they caused. As mentioned in their review, this issue occurred toward the end of their lease (over 4 months into their stay at the property). Any problems incurred by this situation are because of the renters negligence and not by my staff failing to maintain the property. Other items are exaggerated or outright lies. Completed just prior to their arrival: Repainted Interior of the Entire House New Bedspreads & Pillows New Mattress Area Rugs Cleaned Newly Reupholstered Dining Room Chairs & Family Room Sofa New Headboard New Linens (towels, sheets, etc) New Patio Furniture Cushions These renters appear to be dishonest, unreasonably demanding and manipulative. When they didn’t get their way, they resorted to this kind of RETALIATION to try to get it. So, in this case, I think that this RENTER is the one to “BEWARE OF”.

Hidden Gem

Our family had a perfect winter get away at this beautiful property in a peaceful neighborhood. The owner was wonderful to deal with!! If your looking for a place to relax, swim, cook great meals and spend time with family or friends, this is your place. This house has every amenity you would ever need and the layout is perfect. The bedrooms are spacious and the beds are very comfortable. We were able to close off our portion of the house (master bedroom) when our older kids would stay up late. The house is very conducive to many hours at the pool looking at the beautiful 100 foot boats literally in the backyard. The neighborhood is great for running, walking and is easily walkable to the beach and other hotels. You have the option to choose as much as you would like or you could spend all your time at the house. There are a range of shops at your fingertips (Target and Whole Foods). There are restaurants galore, jet skiing at the beach, paddleboard rentals and Miami is a quick 35 minute ride. Despite the coldest weekend in Fort Lauderdale, we had a wonderful time reconnecting with our family and would rent this property again.
