Stunningly beautiful one bedroom apartment is filled with antiques and flooded with sunshine. It's so seductive you may give up your plans to see the monuments and just settle in with a book from my library!

Here I am with the fabulous Ms. Lulu, the light of my life, my granddaughter. I am very lucky - I have two great kids, two wonderful homes, a challenging career which I am winding down, many fun friends, and I had a wonderful marriage until I was widowed. So, maybe not so lucky there, but I was lucky to have him!
The Owner purchased this condo in 1990
Adams Morgan is a young, vibrant area of Washington ... just the place for someone who wants to share the best things of life with the world! You can spend a day just exploring all the many quixotic parts of this neighborhood and still not have seen it all. Fine restaurants, ethnic restaurants, they are both here, and if night life is your thing, well, you'll be in heaven.
This was the apartment I bought five years after I lost my husband - imagine, 58 years old and this was the first apartment I ever lived in by myself! And it's wonderful ... filled with all the things I love, vibrant colors, antiques, books, prints, and to top it all off, a really incredible deck. The deck is a constant source of peace and contentment. Fix your coffee in the morning, grab my Washington Post from the hallway and take it all up to swing gently while the soft sound of the fountain in the fish pond lull you into a state of relaxation, while you watch the rising sun come over the canopy and start to highlight first this rose and then that one! Or, at evening, take the cocktail up to that same swing and watch the the sunset as the lights come up on the Washington Cathedral, and the soft lights on the deck come on and suddenly you're in a cozy cacoon of a tent high in the sky and totally, totally peaceful.
This condo was exactly what we were looking for on our trip to DC...awesome location, cute, clean and comfortable! Suzanne gave excellent instructions to drive in and is a generous host.
I was in DC for 7 weeks for my job and the thought of staying in a hotel for that length of time was just unthinkable! This little one bedroom apartment was perfect for my stay and the roof top deck was awesome! It has easy access to anything you need in the DC area including lots of places to eat! The apartment was clean and even had amenities I was not expecting - like silver polish to clean a piece of jewelry! It was surprisingly quiet for being so close to the heart of Adams Morgan. My biggest warning for this property is the fish in the patio pond - they will make you think they are starving to death and need to be fed constantly. Don't believe them.
This apartment is incredibly beautiful tucked away in Adams Morgan. The private roof garden is gorgeous and even though the space is relatively small, it doesn't feel that way at all. The kitchen is easy to navigate and well stocked for cooking and morning tea or coffee. There's also a binder with instructions for everything imaginable including restaurant recommendations. I loved this apartment and will definitely stay here again when I get the chance.
We loved this apartment! It was perfectly located near a Metro station and close to so many wonderful restaurants. The living place was cozy and comfortable. I loved the memory foam mattress and pillows and all of the books Suzanne has. This was a great place to come home at the end of a busy day of sightseeing. We would relax a bit, get our second wind, and then head back out for the evening where we were just steps away from the fun night life of 18th st. It was just wonderful.
The rooftop terrace was neat too with a view of the National Cathedral. We did not spend much time up there but probably would have if we came at a different time of year.
We had so much fun. Thank you for making our stay in Washington DC perfect, Suzanne. For one or two people traveling, this property is perfect and I would highly recommend.
I travel a lot on business. I'm a platinum Marriott rewards member. Just attended our annual 5 day Health Care conference, at the Wardman Park Marriott where it is every year. But this year, instead of staying in a cookie cutter room on the concierge floor, I had this lovely place just a 10 minute walk or a $5 Uber away. At night I worked in a living room, surrounded by the owners things. It reminded me of staying at relative's house; without having to visit the relative. It's great, in a convenient and safe neighborhood. I'll be staying here again.
Adams Morgan is the most vibrant neighborhood in DC with some of the best restaurants in town. Just two blocks from my apartment you will find restaurants that run the gamut from McD's and Starbucks to neighborhood French to first class, reservations only, four star types.
