Log home sits on five and a half acres, surrounded by mountains and national forest. Located two and a half miles from Breckenridge Village makes the location close to everything the town and ski slopes have to offer. But the best part is you will be nestled in your mountain cabin home, away from it all. Surrounded by historic mining ruins make the location interesting and nostalgic. Remember, this is how Breckenridge began over 150 years ago!

The house is built with hand crafted and peeled chinked logs from Canada. A comforting wood burning stove sits in the center of the main floor for character and comfort. It creates a warmth in the winter that gathers everyone for a movie, meal or game of pool.

From any window you'll experience a breathtaking view of the Rocky Mountains and national forest.

The kitchen is completely stocked with everything needed to prepare any size meal.

Movie collection and family games can be found in living room

Large 8 person hot tub, very private with more mountain views

Streets are plowed regularly in winter

Easy access ground floor ski entrance with cabinets and racks for equipment. Maps of Vail, Keystone and Breckenridge line the walls to make it easy to plan your day.

We love the mountains because they are wonderful all seasons. There isn't a time of year we aren't ready to drop everything and visit Breckenridge. Hiking, distance biking, mountain biking, skiing, snowboarding, white water rafting, snowmobiling..... The activities and exploring is endless!

Why Kelly Carey chose Breckenridge

It's so convenient and close to down town, yet you would never know it. From the house you can cross country ski, snowmobile, hike or bike some of the best trails in the Rockies. When it's warm enough we bike to Main Street for coffee or happy hour :) We wanted a complete log constructed home, not just log and wood accents. Why come to Colorado if you're not going to stay in a mountain style home? We can look at sheet rock walls and ceilings anywhere, right?! :)

What makes this house unique

Location! The log construction is so unique to the mountains, the log burning stove is beyond charming and is in the center of the main floor, so much better than in a corner or on a wall. The ski entrance is awesome. The hot tub is private and the views are so pretty. It's location makes it wonderful.....we see mountain wild life all the time! Obviously there are many other homes in the Breckenridge are with mountain views and convenience to slopes. But they are almost always close to other houses, often very close. This is not the case with this home. It really feels like a mountain home, boasting views of the ski runs from the living room. It's quiet with a cozy feel, , nestled in the mountain forest.

The old mining bunkers by the drive remind us of Breckenridge history.

You were so accomodating once we conneted on-line. Your helpfulness, graciousness, and kindness wewe what drew me to renting from you. And your concern and quidance as I battled that darn altitude sickness was comforting to my husband! We came from California, and another family from Minnesota, and the third from Missouri. The spacious layout allowed us to be close together or spread out... My husband was on the losing foosball team, but it was very fun! Thank you so much!

The property manager lives over the detached garage to assist with snow removal and general maintenance of the house. Please let him know of any needs or questions you may have. In winter months a 4 wheel drive vehicle is a must. Though the property manager does his best to keep the drive cleared, this is a mountain home and gets a lot of snow. There is an incline drive leading to the house which makes a 4 wheel drive vehicle necessary during extreme winter weather. Winter wonderland

What a great place. Beautifully decorated and very comfortable. Manager was always accessible and helpful. Hot tub and full moon were perfect after a day of skiing. A little TLC in the cleaning department would have been appreciated but overall a very good experience. Thank you for sharing your cabin with us.

Fantastic family vacation house

We very much enjoyed our Thanksgiving stay at this wonderful house. Well away from town, but easily accessible. Wood burning stove and family friendly accommodations were wonderful. Very comfortable beds and great linens, etc. We loved the pool table and hot tub. Nicholas, the friendly property manager, was wonderful, too. Trails easily accessible for hiking and great views of sunrise and sunset. Wonderful!!

Nursing class reunion

8 of us from our original class spent lots of time around the big dining room table sharing memories. Kitchen was fully stocked. Did not have water pressure when we first arrived, but after contacting the caretaker, he promptly came and fixed the problem. He was great--even helped us with the DVR! We all agreed things could have been a little cleaner, but was perfect for all our needs. Wonderful views, including moose in the yard!

Amazing home!!

We loved staying here! Beautiful views, totally comfortable beds, fully stocked kitchen, dog-friendly, awesome front porch, convenient to town, everything you could ask for! The owners are friendly and helpful. We could not have asked for a nicer place to stay. We highly recommend this gorgeous home. We'll definitely be back!

3rd Time staying here!

This is our third time staying here! This time it was family and friends we invited. We all were very comfortable. The owners always seem to add little unexpected novelties, like popcorn and popcorn maker, fully stocked firewood, several bikes available, or a larger fenced in area for our dogs. The owners do not have to provide toiletries, but they do and they are not the cheap brands. This was very helpful as our teen daughter is picky. The decor is amazing. The property manager is always available when we need him, and is truly helpful!. We have booked another 2 week stay for this winter and are so excited!

The Best Home

This cabin was great you felt like you were out in the deep woods but you could be on Main Street in Breckenridge within minutes. There were so many trail in walking distance to this home. We had 5 adults and 4 dogs and had plenty room. I can't say enough good things about Nick the on-site manager great guy. This is the place to stay will visiting Breck.

Breckenridge is an extremely popular resort located in the largest historic district in Colorado. There are 2378 acres to explore at Breckenridge! Intermediate runs and cruisers come in clusters, especially around Peak 7 and Peak 9. Recently expanded Peak 8 takes you to extreme terrain you could previously only hike to. If you like bowls and chutes, this zone is where you’ll want to go for most of your riding. Breckenridge also has 5 professionally maintained terrain parks, complete with halfpipes and superpipes. Though the ski resort and town have transformed Breckenridge, it has kept its relaxed and casual atmosphere of days past. An old mining town, old Victorian houses can still be seen, and mine merchandise can still be found in local stores. If you are looking for night-life activities, you will have no trouble finding them with over 40 bars and pubs in the slope-side town. Overall, Breckenridge is a great place for both beginner, expert and intermediate skiers and snowboarders alike and the town offers a nice change of pace from the action packed slopes!
