Overview

Idaho Cabin Rental Photos and Description

Cabin, 3 Bedroom + Loft, 2 Baths, (Sleeps 7)

Cabin set in aspen trees at top of hill. Views of Big Hole Mountains, sunsets, and just the tip of The Grand! We are 6 miles from Driggs ID (great grocery store) and 45 miles from Jackson WY. Large deck on back in trees, also front porch. Fish on the Teton River 5 minutes away. Peaceful location, gorgeous views, just a short drive from the hustle bustle and fun of Jackson. Enjoy your stay on 'the quiet side of the Tetons!'

Cabin has new windows and new kitchen. One bedroom with queen bed upstairs, one full bathroom with tub upstairs, and loft with single daybed upstairs. Two more bedrooms and full bath (shower) on main level.

The cabin is located 7 miles from Driggs and Ski Hill Road - the road that goes up to Grand Targhee for skiing, horseback riding, and concerts. One hour drive over the pass to ski in Jackson Hole.

Great kayaking on the Teton and Snake Rivers and mountain biking in the Big Hole Mountains. Fly-fishing at Leigh Creek, Teton River, and Henry's Fork. Small town of Driggs with cute restaurants, wine store, and shops is a three mile drive. Music on Main in Victor on Thursday nights in summer.

Jackson Hole (55 minute drive) is full of art galleries, shopping, museums, restaurants, float trips on the Snake, as well as cross-country and downhill skiing. Idaho Falls and Jackson airports are both 75 minute away. Yellowstone National Park is 100 miles north - enter at West Yellowstone. Island Park and Henry's Fork, an area of world famous fly fishing, is 40 minutes north.

About Ginger

We bought this cabin as a vacation get away for family and friends. Since then we've added a log cabin next door. Our extended family uses the cabin often, so the kitchen is well equipped and the beds are comfy. We split our time between the cabin, Berkeley and Uruguay. We love to hike and kayak and cook dinners for the family. We have two grown children who live in San Francisco and Oakland.

Ginger purchased this cabin in 2005

Why Ginger chose Idaho

This area of Idaho, Wyoming and Montana is just gorgeous. There are so many beautiful areas to visit - mountains, waterfalls, rivers, fields of wildflowers throughout the summer, great snow all winter - you will want to be outdoors every day. Late spring is the best time to see the animals with their new offspring, and October brings the spectacular golden 'quaking' leaves on the aspen trees.

What makes this cabin unique

Private secluded area near large ranches.

Guestbook comments from the owner

We really liked the cabin and the location. I liked the Log Cabin decor. But the lighting in the bathrooms was not bright enough, and it was difficult to get in the large soaking tub - we needed a step. We did however like the double shower which was very roomy. The single mattresses on the floor were not comfortable for a couple over 50, so the cabin doesn't really work for two couples. It would be fine for a couple and their children. A curtain would be good for the sunrise up in the loft. We enjoyed our stay.

Beautiful and Peaceful Place

  • 5 of 5

Just left this amazing place and want to return next year. The cabin is well equipped, comfortable and set in a private peaceful setting. It is close to the towns of Driggs and Victor and a short drive to Jackson. So many restaurants, things to do, hikes, horseback riding, etc. The Tetons are in view at the end of the driveway and a short drive to the east side trails. The Grand Tetons National Park and Yellowstone are about 1.5 hour drive. The Teton Valley offers a slow pace of life. Can't wait for next year!

We had an amazing stay at this property. Everything was perfect for our stay and we were able to drive to Yellowstone twice and Jackson Hole twice. Great location near Driggs. Great little town with everything you need! Thank again for opening your home!

Wonderful time in a beautiful cabin!

  • 5 of 5

This is such a cute little cabin in the woods!! We lacked for nothing. Most of our days were spent between Yellowstone and Jackson, but this cabin was a perfect place to come back and relax and rest before getting up and doing it all again! The owners were phenomenal to work with and treated our military family so well!

Thank you for everything! We hope to return soon!

Simply magical and impeccably clean!!

  • 5 of 5

This cabin is just incredible. The photos hardly do it justice! We loved the land it sat on, the cabin is beautifully decorated and so well kept! (Best housekeeper ever is right!!) The details in the cabin made it all the more charming. We stayed at another cabin later in our trip and kept comparing it to this one! We all said our only regret with this cabin was not booking it and staying longer! You won't be disappointed booking this amazing property.

Beautiful Cabin in a Beautiful Location

  • 5 of 5

We don't have a single complaint about our stay at the Horseshoe Cabin. The cabin itself was beautiful, the price was very reasonable and the location was even better off of a dirt road with lots of privacy! We enjoyed walking down the road to the pond and river nearby, and seeing all of the wildlife. It was also close enough to Jackson Hole so we were able to spend a day checking things out there. I would highly recommend this to anyone visiting the area! We will definitely be back!

Two bathrooms (one has shower, one has a tub). Fully-equipped kitchen, living room with large tv. Usually the DSL wireless internet is working, but no guarantees, (Sorry, we cannot provide tech support to get you connected, ) The cabin is furnished very comfortably with linens, down comforters, towels, books, spices, coffeemaker, blender, etc. Front deck, and back deck in the trees. A little bit of paradise just close enough to all the fun of Jackson, Wyoming, with a small town rural feel. The cabin is located near Driggs, Idaho, on the 'quiet side' of the Tetons. One hour to Jackson.
