About Daniel and Elaine
Hi, we are Elaine & Dan, we have three kids. We all love coming to Adams Cottage which we fell in love with when we first visited it in 2009. After fully renovating the cottage we have successfully let it to holiday makers for the past seven years. We spend as much time staying in Adams Cottage as we can. We both feel that it's the best way to look after the detail that keeps the cottage attracting 5 star reviews. We love Powerstock and the country walks and cliff and beach walks. Even after so many years, we still seem to find new places. We know how precious time on holiday is and work hard to try to make your holiday as perfect as we can. Feel free to contact us with any question you may have! Best Wishes, Elaine & Dan

Why Daniel and Elaine chose Powerstock
We fell in love with Adams cottage the moment we saw it and we're lucky enough to buy it in 2009. It had previously been a holiday home but we renovated it throughout to give it a modern feel but keeping the cosy cottage atmosphere. The cottage has been out second home and a successful holiday let since that time.

Beautiful cottage, ideally located in village with good food pubs nearby
Cottage is very lovely with a big garden. Nicely decorated & presented. We enjoyed the location & were able to get to beaches, Lyme Regis, Charmouth, Bridport easily. There were several pubs with good food in walking distance. The village is very quiet but that suits our family.
Idyllic Week in Dorset Countryside
Our party comprising two couples enjoyed a wonderful week at Adam's Cottage in Powerstock. The cottage was spotlessly clean, well equipped with everything we needed and set in a beautiful little village . We particularly enjoyed the back garden at the end of each day over wine and cheese. There were two wonderful pubs with good food and drinks nearby. On the last evening of our stay we enjoyed a jazz concert in the ancient church. Elaine and Danuel were very responsive and the check-in process was seamless. We even got to enjoy driving the narrow country lanes. Highly recommended. We would love to return one day.
Stay at Adams Cottage
We loved everything about this cottage and the area. It was so well equipped and set in such beautiful countryside. We were with our son, his wife and our grandchildren and everything was there that we needed. We would definitely go back.
A delightful, well equipped and comfortable cottage with a pretty garden. Situated within easy reach of Dorset's Jurassic coast.
Beautiful cottage in an idyllic location
Equipped with everything you need and very comfortable, this is a gorgeous cottage . There is plenty of space inside but still feels cosy and the garden is well maintained. The village is lovely and peaceful - a wonderful retreat.
A truly charming cottage
You could not hope for a more beautiful charming cottage and area to stay in.
The village of Powerstock is mentioned in the Doomsday book and sits at the foot of the ancient Iron Age fort of Eggardon Hill. There are numerous walks and cycle paths from the door.
A few minutes walk from the cottage takes you to the 15th Century Norman church looking over the valley, and just beyond is the popular Three Horse Shoes public house with excellent local food and beer (Good Pub Guides 'Worth a Visit' 2017). A little further on along a footpath is yet another pub, The Marquis of Lorne (Good Pub Guide 'Recommended' 2017).
The bustling market town of Bridport is 5 miles away and has many restaurants and cafes and twice weekly markets with a great array of local produce. Bridport has a thriving music scene, with local venues and regular concerts. It acts as a gateway town to the Jurassic Coast, the first natural World Heritage Site designated in England. The coast at Burton Bradstock, managed by the National Trust, is 7 miles from the cottage. The fishing port of West Bay and scene for the popular TV drama 'Broadchurch' is also only 15 minutes away for the cottage.
Futher a field is the coastal town of Lyme Regis, with great fish and chips and watersports. Also setting for the iconic film Ryan's Daughter.
The county town of Dorchester is 25 minutes drive from the cottage, which has an array of shops, museums, cinemas and churches.
The coastal town of Weymouth is also 30 minutes drive from the house, with lots of watersports, sandy beach, Sealife centre and family attractions as well as shopping and restaurants.
