Ski Magazine calls Jay Peak 'the Jackson Hole of the Northeastern United States.'

The mountain offers more snow than any other resort in the Northeast, the only tram in New England, nationally acclaimed glades/trees skiing, and a brand new professionally designed golf course. And the new water park at Jay Peak is the coolest in New England! Our 1200 sq ft 2 bed 2 bath condominium was built in November 2006 and offers contemporary space, tasteful design and all the modern amenities, plus the ski-on/ski-off convenience of slope side lodging. The master bedroom includes a king bed and attached full bath. The second bedroom has two twin beds, and the living room has a fold out couch that sleeps two. This brand new condo has a gas fireplace, formal dining room with eight-person table and a gourmet kitchen w/ breakfast bar. Come stay with us! We hope to be your home of choice at Jay Peak.

About Kelly (please email if possible)

If you have been to Jay Peak, then you know why we bought this condo right on the slopes. Jay is unspoiled, laid back, and gets more snow than anywhere else on the east coast--not to mention the owner of the resort is doing amazing developments at Jay that are building amenities without spoiling the feel of the mountain. We have two children, ages 7 and 11, and we spend a few weeks a year in Vermont--skiing in the winter and swim-holing in the summer. We speak a little French, so it's fun for us to run into Montrealers and other French Canadians as well.

Kelly (please email if possible) purchased this condo in 2006

Why Kelly (please email if possible) chose Vermont

It's well-located RIGHT on the slopes. And we take very good care of it. It is clean and full of amenities.

Very comfortable and exactly what we needed!

  • 5 of 5

Stayed at this condo in the summer and want to return when there is snow!! Beds were comfortable and everything was tidy. Kitchen is great and well-equipped for any cooking during the stay. Washer and dryer in unit was a nice bonus. There wasn't any shampoo and conditioner as described but that was an easy fix. We loved feeling like we had a home away from home!

Beautiful condo

  • 5 of 5

This condo was perfect for our family. We had a fantastic vacation with lots of snow, skiing, snowboarding, snowshoing, etc. On a differenct note, my daughter is a new skier and my husband is a beginner so the ski-out functionality for this location didn't work out for them because of the steep hill down from the bridge to the condo on Grammy Jay. I loved it though. The condo was clean, spacious, cozy, etc. I do wish there was a food disposal in the kitchen sink (but that's a minor "mom" thing). Also, a "smart" TV would be ideal (they are so inexpensive to purchase now), as most parents these days have online accounts with Netflix, Amazon Prime, etc. to store their purchased movies to entertain their kids during off-ski hours. All-in-all I would highly recommend this place!

Owner's Response: Thanks so much Tami! I know--I wish there was a disposal as well. None of the units have them! We appreciate your feedback on the TV as well and will certainly consider it. Hope to see you next year! The Taylors

Luxury price in a cheap townhouse

  • 3 of 5

The location from the slopes was ok needing to chairlift rides to begin the day. In the townhouse the television and technology was from a decade ago

Not conducive for the downtime off the slopes

One small tv in a cabinet

No tv in any bedrooms the fixtures were outdated . Also an expectation of doing laundry for the house while still paying 200 dollars in service fees and cleaning with a warning if you have six people bring your own toilet paper. Don't charge premium prices and cheap out on the customer

The mtn great the house over priced

Owner's Response: Jay is great--and there's no better place to stay than right on the slopes, which is what we consider luxury at Jay Peak. Skiing right out onto the slopes from the building is so great. And skiing back for lunch, a break, cooking meals at home, lighting the fire, the view from the deck--these are luxurious to us. We apologize if you felt the technology wasn't up to par. We do very little TV watching and for a small condo, we feel one is enough. Also, we charge a $100 cleaning fee. Whatever other service fees you paid were to Home Away. We do provide a start of toilet paper, paper towels, dish and laundry detergent, etc. We also provide nice linens, towels, etc. And a fully equipped kitchen. A lot of condos just provide the place. We advertise clean, comfortable and well stocked. If we advertised luxury in a slopeside condo, I imagine the price would be quite higher.

Nearest Airport
65 Miles
Burlington
Car: recommended

Our condo is located on the Grammy Jay slope, which is due east of Raccoon Run and the Village Quad Chair and right across the road from the golf course. You can ski right out the front door to the Quad, which is between the Tram Base and State Side. The outdoor deck overlooks Grammy Jay and has views down the valley. The closest major airport, in Burlington, Vermont, is an hour south of the Jay Peak Resort. In the summer season Vermont is green, lush and spectacular! Golf on a course rated by Northeastern Golf Magazine as 'One of New England's Best New Courses.' And of course, the new Pump House Water Park is a major attraction for families and by far the coolest in New England. Fish, hike, boat, horseback ride all over Northeastern Vermont using Jay as your base.

We also love to head to Canada, which is just 5 miles away!
