Owner are very unprofessional!
This is cozy house with a nice atmosphere. However, it has some drawbacks.
First, the hot water out of tap is mostly warm and not hot. If there are couple people who want to take a shower, the last one might take a cold one. There are a tab but I have no chance to take because of the problam with water.
Second, and the most important, the owners are very unprofessional. It was my first time booking a house through this web site. I've paid for the rent but on my card has not appeared the full amount, only the fee this site charges. The first time I was talking to Linda, one of the owners, I've told her about what happened and asked how the system works. She said she doesn't know and evrything is fine. So, I've been trying not bother myself with that. At first, this woman tried to be nice.
We seemed to have a good communication and so on. Friends and I stayed there for 2 nights. We had some fun.. When we were finally living the house I realized that owners haven't mentioned what I should do with trash. So, I've been trying to call Linda for a half of hour but she wasn't responding. Than, we decided to leave the trash at the driveway entrance. Next morning I've texted her and she called me back. I've told her about the trash and she kinda said "Oh, okey.." The following day, she sent me a text saying she wish we had taken trash with us and this will cost us money. We had a chat and I told I don't think it is my fault they haven't instruct me what to do with trash. After that, she cut off a communicating for a week. In a week, I received a text: "You owe me ***. Mail to *address*.
I've paid them what they asked, including trash charges. But that is my last stay there. If you need a house for vacation it is better to look somewhere else. I wouldn't recommend it to a friend.
I am a little amazed at this renters review! They only booked December 30 for a 2 night stay
beginning December 31. There was no time to mail them my welcome letter, with house instructions, etc. Since they booked through this site, I thought they paid through Home
Away. When I didn't receive payment from HomeAway, I looked into the situation and found that
they booked with the option to send a check; but hadn't! That's why I sent the text saying that they still owed me.
Our cabin is remotely located! Leaving their trash at the end of the drive for animals to tear into ; or for the snow plow to hit was not the best idea. The hot water tank is 50 gallon! We have 5 sons! We've never experienced a hot water shortage! They must take very long showers!
The property is amazing. We had a wonderful time. Plenty of room for our family of 6.
Guests must provide their own bed sheets and towels.
