|Minimum Stay||3 nights|
Bright, charming apartment with wood ceilings, located in the heart of Trastevere, Rome's historical centre. Placed on the third floor of an ancient building (with no elevator, like most buildings in Trastevere....)
It comprises one large double bedroom, one living room with a queen size sofa bed, dining for 4, a fully equipped kitchen corner with a two burners stove and a bathroom with shower.
Complete with linens, towels, pans and dishes, kettle, toaster, hairdryer, microwave, iron - iron board –Internet wifi -TV with satellite international channels and Air Conditioning.
Located in a very nice area of Trastevere, next to Piazza Santa Cecilia.
The apartment is steps away from all the major attractions.
It's only 3 to 20 minutes walking distance to all the famous Piazzas and monuments: 10 minutes to the Roman Forum and Campo de Fiori (only 600 meters away), less than 15 minutes to Piazza Navona, Pantheon, the Colosseum, Fontana di Trevi and S. Peters Basilica.
It's steps away from all the buses and trams (200 meters) and not very far from the metro (1200 meters) (which there is no need to use as you can walk or take a short trip on a bus to reach most of the tourist locations).
There are, bars, a grocery store, a bakery and restaurants right outside the building.
The location is the best you could wish for!
I am a professional photographer and painter.
Luca xx purchased this apartment in 2001
The apartment is very cosy and romantic. The wood ceilings also add a lot of charm. It's in a small bulding where it was easy to get to know all of the other tenants. The area is very safe and it's in the quiter side of Trastevere.
I wanted to thank you for your hospitality and going out of your way to make our stay a pleasant one. You have a great apartment and if I hear of anyone going to Rome I will definitely let them know about your place. Mahalo again!
Very nice apartment. Well, equiped, quiet, wonderful area and very convenient to all sites in rest of Rome. Supermarket nearby for good food. We stayed for a week in January and apartment was warm and confortable. Even decorated with modern, original artworks. We can't wait to return!!!
Perfect location to see some of the major sites in Rome. Good access by foot or bus to most major sites. AC worked well in the summer heat of Rome (which is fierce!). Luca was in close communication leading up to the visit and the transportation he organized was very efficient and appreciated after a long day of travel. There are two cafés below to get a pastry and coffee before a day of sight seeing. The restaurant below--le mani en pasta--is a must! Trastevere may be touristy, but it is lively and has great food options. We found the apartment very quiet, especially with the AC running.
We loved this apartment. My wife and I (late twenties) stayed here for four nights. It's surrounded by cafes that serve bfast, lunch, drinks, dinner. We had lunch at Sciapo across the alley which was great. We are having dinner at Le Mani in Pasta which is right below the apartment - small neighborhood place w great reviews. You aren't very close to the metro and we didn't try the bus or tram. Walkable to colosseum and roman forum, but about a mile and a half from some of the other big sites - walkable if you are up for it. There is a taxi stand at Viale di Trastevere. This is the "quite" east side of Trastevere, which was perfect for us and we slept great on the king size bed and the futon was great for siestas after walking all day. Cross over the west side near the Santa Maria church for great nightlife. The apartment owner arranged a taxi for us for 50 euro from the airport which was fine (had trouble finding driver and he was not friendly). The art in the apartment is also very interesting. I would recommend this apartment to anyone based on great location - it's so nice to be able to walk out your door to dinner or drinks after sight seeing all day !
My hubby & I recently stayed at this colorful, airy & bright apartment on our last European vacation back in September 2014.
The location could not have been better & the apartment itself was spacious enough for two adults!
The kitchen was stocked with plates as well as necessary culinary items, the pictures on VRBO are exactly the way the apartment looks & the washer/dryer was a definite bonus!
Located just outside of the more touristy zones, our cute, temporary little home made us feel like we were living just as the locals live in this gorgeous, historical area!!
Luca the owner was very nice to work with, professional & quite helpful, responding timely to my many questions via email. Luca's Assistant, who showed us the apartment explained everything regarding the property to us. From how to use the WiFi, to how to operate the A/C, and everything else necessary to know as guests/clients during our stay. She was on time and a very pleasant lady to work with as well.
Being there in September, the A/C was an absolute lifesaver, keeping us cool & comfortable.
In addition to this, the light hum drowned out the noises that occurred with the morning hustle & bustle. Although generally speaking, this area is a pretty quiet spot.
There is a restaurant next door, Spirito di Vino, that is really good & the hospitality from the staff, memorable! The Son is the server; Mom, the cook & Dad is the absolute, most charming host (aka schmoozer!).
Really, the only criticism I can state here is the small bathroom -But then again, what bathrooms aren't tiny in Italy???
We have recently completed our third stay in this apartment. It suits our family perfectly. It has always been presented clean and well supplied with linens and kitchenware.
The apartment is located perfectly, close to the centre of Rome but set back just enough to avoid the crowds and hussle. The immediate area has local-style coffee shops, and small supermarkets.
We will be back next year again.
We loved the neighbourhood, full of artists, restaurants and cafes. Every day we walked to a different attraction throughout Rome.
The apartment is on the third floor so mobility is a must but the apartment is worth the climb. Open Windows for a great breeze and to hear the bustle of the street below. Close the windows and turn on the air conditioner when it's hot! Great inexpensive cappuccino across the street in the rooftop café over the grocery store.
Bathroom is very small but functional.
