Exquisite and central in Paris ! Nearby the Louvre, Notre Dame, and Saint Germain shopping area:

This 70m² apartment is perfectly adapted for 2-4 persons. It sleeps a maximum of 4 guests. It is on the 4th floor (US standard) of a charming French style building with an elevator.

Located in an ancient stone building by the border of the Seine river, the apartment is right in the art & antique shop district. It is facing the oldest bridge of Paris, the Pont Neuf which leads directly to the ile de la Cité, with Notre Dame Cathedral on the right. Crossing the Seine, one reaches the Louvre museum in 2 mn. The apartment is also neighbouring the lively heart of the Saint Germain area and the Latin Quarter.

On entering the apartment the large entrance leads to the living room. The living room has a large window with a view out on a quiet private courtyard full of greeneries. It is nicely decorated and furnished with a comfortable sofa, armchairs and other quaint pieces of furniture.

The living room also has a cozy dining area with a table that can easily seat up to 4 persons.

The apartment has two bedrooms. The first bedroom has a comfortable double bed, a large closet, an armchair and a desk. It is open on the living room during the day and may be closed at night with large sliding doors. The bedroom also offers a small library for avid readers, and a large window.

The second bedroom offers either a single bed, two singles if needed that can be put together to form a double. Although the bedroom is not closed by a door, privacy is obtained thanks to location and design of the apt. The room is located opposite the master bedroom.

The apartment has a separate kitchen with is nicely designed and fully equipped (dish washer, microwave oven…).

Bathroom is a piece of art in full marble. It offers two sinks, a shower and a toilet. It is located very close to the second bedroom.

The owners use the apartment a few month per year. They may change the furniture slightly compared to the photos.

Transportation is the easiest : Quai des Grands Augustins is 2 mn from subway Cité or Saint-Michel and 5 mn from subway Odeon or Saint Germain des Prés.

This location is a perfect base to visit Paris. It stays 15 minute by subway to most interesting Paris locations AND is a very charming and restful area to be appreciated after a whole day shopping and walking through museums.

The unit is situated in the same building as two other studios, VRBO 297929 and VRBO 320494, which may be rented together for friends.

In the heart of Paris

The flat is located in a beautiful, safe building. Quiet, considering right outside is the bustling city of Paris. It is clean and well appointed with washer/dryer, dishwasher, hairdryer, and plenty of space for a family of 3. Second bed ideal for teen or small adults.Bathroom is modern and spacious. We had to plan our showers accordingly, (teen showers at night, adults in morning) as hot water tends to run low. No biggie. Would be really helpful to have a folder for guests with recommended restaurants, closest bank/grocery/metro stop, instructions on how to use phone to call US...had to google/search on tripadvisor, and it can get frustrating as wifi is slow and tends to drop at nighttime. Check in/out was easy. Deposit returned in timely manner.

Very Nice St. Germain de Pres Flat

This was a very nicely located flat on the edge of St. Germain de Pres and the Latin Quarter. When you walk out of the building, Pont Neuf is just to your left. The location is PERFECT for exploring the best of Paris. The bed is comfortable and the kitchen is well equipped. The heat worked very well in keeping the flat comfortable. The self-service check in went according to the well documented instructions. I had a very good experience.

I would stay here again.

Great location. Great place to enjoy Parisian life style. The apartment is just like the pictures on a quiet courtyard. Out side the door is the noisy, exciting Paris .

Best markets are down Rue dauphine, turn on Rue de Bucci and then two blocks to Rue de Seine. To the right is La Fish Boissoneri, do not be fooled by name, they have a full menu, and the chicken for two or three is fantastic. If this small Bistro is full you may try Semilla across the street. To the left on Rue de Seine are the markets.

If you like jazz Le Caveau de la Huchette is walking distance and Rue de la Huchette is a lively street right off Place de Saint-Michel.

Shakespeare and Company is just pass the next bridge.

A perfect place to enjoy Paris

We had a most enjoyable stay at Matisse apartment. The apartment was beautiful, extremely functional, full of natural light, and breezy. The location was perfect. I found myself walking to most places, either on the left bank, or crossing almost in front, by Pont Neuf, to the right bank and right to Rue Rivoli.

Rue Dauphine, right next to the apartment, is full of restaurants, both Brasseries, and ethnical cuisine. There are places to buy prepared meals as well as a couple of fine bakeries. A very well stocked supermarket is a short two blocks away. I used either the St Michel or Odeon Metros to get around very conveniently.

I do look forward to a future stay. I am a lover of Paris, and this was the perfect place to enjoy it.

Quiet - Perfect Location

The apartment is terrific! Slightly bigger than the pictures show. Kitchen is a dream to cook in. The location cannot be beat. Right in the center of the historic district on a busy road but very quiet. We would come back from a museum for a rest and a small bite to eat and a cocktail before leaving again for the evening. The location is right at Pont Neuf so it is an easy walk to Musee D'Orsay, Louvre, L'Orangerie, Notre Dame,etc and Ile La Cite. Grocery store and vege stand, butcher and wine store within 5 min walk from apt. Bring a back pack to go shopping with, makes visiting multiple stores for individual ingredients very easy. Very small but if important to you bring them with you - coffee press, cocktail shaker, iron. The apt does have a blowdryer and a curling iron for hair but did not have these other items.

Perfect location

My husband and I were very pleased with the apartment "Matisse" during our recent stay in Paris. It's a perfect location-easy walking distance to most of the things we wanted to see. I was concerned before the visit that the location would be noisy, but being at the back of the building meant it was very quiet! The furnishings were exactly as pictured and the folder with complete instructions for the appliances (including photographs!) was a nice plus. Everything we needed during our stay was readily available in the neighborhood. A grocery store only a few blocks away, and wonderful boulangeries nearby made shopping for food very easy. We will definitely recommend this apartment to friends who plan to visit Paris, and we will stay there again on our next trip!
