Watermill cottage is situated on the edge of Bryngwran village on the Isle of Anglesey, it's a fantastic location for outdoor and active vacations during all seasons, or just relaxing and enjoying the peaceful surroundings.

The cottage has been sympathetically converted from an old stone barn to a spacious cottage offering superb accommodation of an exceptionally high standard. It's been tastefully and thoughtfully decorated and furnished and has plenty of character, such as the wooden and slate flooring, exposed stone walls and large oak beams, a particular feature in the living area. The cottage benefits from its own secluded terraced garden with a patio area at the back of the house, whilst at the front there is another spacious yet private patio with BBQ, seating and plenty of colourful boarders. There is also room for three cars to park amply in their own private area.

Just dropping you a line to tell you how much we enjoyed our stay at the cottage last week. The weather wasn’t great (windy!!!), but everything else was lovely.



Getting back to the cottage after being buffeted on the beach was a joy! The accommodation is of a superb standard, so cozy and welcoming - it felt like a real home from home to all of us.



We won’t hesitate to come again next year!

Wonderful family holiday

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, Both Alison and Caroline very welcoming and helpful. We all agreed if it ever came up for sale we'd buy it in a shot 😄 Would definitely come back again and would recommend it as great place to explore the island or just relax.

Lovely well equipped cottage

We had a lovely stay, the cottage was very well equipped and we particularly loved the Gas BBQ. The location was good with only ten minutes away by car to the beach and Rhosneigr.

Great location, lovely cottage,

Lovely cottage in a great location with lots of beautiful coastline and beaches nearby to explore and easy to hop on the A55. Alison is super easy to deal with and responded to emails very quickly. Alisons mother in law lives next door which was really helpful for things we needed and local knowledge and theres parking for 3 cars off the road. We had everything we had arranged - high chairs and cots etc. The cottage is lovely inside - dining area for 8 and a nice big kitchen. It would benefit from a few more pans and utensils as cooking for a big family takes quite a few pans / roasting trays but lots of storage The water temperature is super hot - which is great for showers but not so great for little ones and older ones as my Grandfathers reactions aren't great. A warning note near the taps would help. The boiler is mega efficient and the cottage heats up very quickly when you put the heating on but we did find the bedroom upstairs that the boiler flue goes through was permanently hot regardless of whether the heating was on which was a bit uncomfortable through the night. Depends if you like a cool room or a hot room I suppose. Was too warm for our little one. Some of the mattresses are in need of replacing as they are a bit old and 'noisy' and not massively comfortable but . The second twin room 'sleeping deck' is on the mezz level above the kitchen which is a fun little space. Although anyone sleeping there will hear anyone watching telly or getting up and making brekkie etc. Be careful of little ones as theres no door from the stairs to the mezz - although there is a stair gate to stop little ones going on to the mezz area. However there isn't a stair gate at the top of the stairs so we had to mock up something with the towel rail. Theres a good amount of outdoor area with a BBQ (although we didn't use it) and garden dining at the front. The front garden area is great for little ones as its gated and enclosed and off road. The outside areas are a little tired though and in need of a good sweep and some weeding. The back garden area is on a couple of levels and a nice sun trap. There is a pond which is slightly out of the way but any little explorers might need an eye keeping on.

Theres a field opposite with two lovely horses in which the girls loved feeding apples to. Overall a great cottage, good size en-suites with two of the rooms and the girls loved the Jauzzi bath feature! A few little things to feed back but would definitely stay again.

Beautiful property in amazing tranquil surroundings

Can I just say how beautiful and well lay out Watermill Cottage is. A group of 9 of us came to stay for the weekend. It's like a home from home. Carolyn next door was always on hand if we needed her and she was always very helpful - Thank you!!

Great property in a great location

We were a party of 9 plus dog and enjoyed every minute of our stay. The property is well designed and was perfect for a long weekend to visit some the the islands resorts. There are some lovely lanes opposite the house perfect for walking the dog or going for a run, and kids enjoyed feeding the horses in the field next door. Rhosneigr is less than a 10 minute drive, we enjoyed the beach and a meal at the Oystercatcher. Alison the host is quick to respond to enquiries and was good enough to let us leave a couple of hours later which helped us have one last trip to the beach. Local pub is less than 5 mins walk, a community pub bought 18 mths ago, now has regular music nights and is dog friendly. Overall really pleased we booked here.

Beautiful property in a quiet location.

We spent 4 nights at the cottage and had a wonderful time. The cottage was beautiful - very clean and well equipped. Lovely views from the front with a private barbecue area and an enclosed sunny garden at the rear.

There are shops approximately 3miles away and the facilities of Rhosneigr and Treardurr Bay approx 5 and 7 miles away. We arranged for a taxi one night and the taxi company were very helpful.

Highly recommend a stay here!

Anglesey has over 650 miles of footpaths which enable you to discover and explore the 120 miles of coastline, including sandy beaches and rocky headland. Much of this coastline is designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, or owned by the National Trust, it's hardly surprising then that 25 per cent of the award-winning beaches in Wales are on Anglesey.

You'll find a whole host of sea related activities to enjoy, there's sailing, sea fishing, Kite and windsurfing and canoeing. For those of you who are a little less 'thrill-seeking' the miles of wonderful footpaths will enable you to discover the vast variety of wildlife which thrives on the island, especially the bird population, whilst fantastic views of the distant Snowdonian mountains can be seen at some points. The property makes for an ideal base from which to explore all this and more.
