This apartment is in an area of town that is European in character and French is the main language spoken. Right around the corner you have everything you can possibly need including car rentals, theater, clubs and dining from every part of the globe. If you like home cooking, there is an array of food shops, offering everything you can possibly need. For families with young KIDS I have a PARK right at the CORNER.
Transport is easy and quick if you don't rent a car. We have both buses (at the corner) and the subway down the street a ten minute walk from the house. Parking is on the street (and it's easy to park) if you are driving up to Montreal. This apartment is both pleasant and appealing. It offers a home feel. If you are on a budget what is nice about this area is there is so much competition that prices are local and not touristy.
THIS LOCATION is the HEART of the PLATEAU area: I am exactly 500 feet from all the action yet because of the SUMMER greenery on the street we hear nothing , FALL foliage is absolutely stunning, the back lane way is used for cross country skiing in the WINTER, (the only lane way in the area not snowplowed in the winter due to it's narrow configuration. I am truly lucky to live in an isolated pocket. I am a landlord and I have chosen to live here because it's hard to beat. It's a very safe district.
After all I am your downstairs neighbour and your local guide making sure you enjoy your stay so I am looking forward to meeting all you travellers out there.

Was a traveller. Now, I am giving back. Who reserves with me has the best of the best!
Robert purchased this Apartment in 1980
Why Robert chose Le Plateau-Mont-Royal
This is a great place to live; I can't see myself moving ever. Perhaps a second home down south one day.

Would stay here again
4 friends and I stayed here for a week in June 2009.
The condo was very clean, comfortable, and safe. With so many of us staying there we never ran out of hot water and the modern appliances made what chores we had to do a breeze. The owner was very helpful and responded quickly to any requests.
The area couldn't be beat. I have stayed in other parts of the plateau before but like this one the best. Lots of little shops, restaurants, bars and even a great playground only 1/2 block away.
I would highly recommend this to anyone visiting Montreal. I hope to stay here again with my family the next time we are in town.
I am so happy to give vacationers a really memorable stay.
I was a heavy traveller in my younger days and I always appreciated hospitality. I am giving back what I recieved years ago, a wonderful experience.
All of the positive things that others have said are true. The apartment was perfect for a family and the area is on public transportation that goes all over Montreal. Fantastic food right around the corner. Accessible parking nearby. We had great interactions with Robert. We highly recommend this place for a perfect Montreal visit.
The apartment worked beautifully for us. We loved being upstairs and able to overlook our quiet street. Very polished hardwood floors, comfortable bed and large kitchen/dining area. The owner, Robert, is very "engaged", making sure you have what you need, and that you know about the local shops for vegetables and croissants as well as his opinion of world events.
We came to bike around Montreal. It was the right city and the right place to stay.
This was a great place to stay in Montreal, easy walk to Mont Royal street where there are lots of shops. Had a street market on the street (Mont Royal) for 4 days while we stayed here. There were only four of us and we had plenty of room. Robert was very helpful with places to shop and eat and also with parking which can be a challenge in the neighborhood. On my list to stay on a return visit. The closest Metro station was about 1 mile, but a nice easy walk. Put this in "my favorites" as you don't want to miss out if you are going to Montreal with a family or group.
The location was perfect, walking distance to bakeries, grocery stores and shopping outlets. The apartment itself was really clean, spacious and cozy. Robert was very helpful, especially when it came to finding a parking space for our rented car.
Would recommend it.
Wonderful Holiday Accommodation
We had a delightful time staying at this holiday accommodation. Everything needed for a comfortable stay was provided. The apartment was spotlessly clean, private and quiet. The local facilities were excellent and all our shopping needs were available within a ten minute walk of the apartment. Public transport was excellent and also very close by. Robert was an excellent host who provided everything necessary to make our holiday an enjoyable and memorable one. We do not hesitate to recommend this accommodation.
The 'Plateau' is noted as one of the TOP 10 BEST PLACES TO LIVE IN NORTH AMERICA... I AM AT THE HEART OF IT... i wouldn't live anywhere else in the world... IT has clubs, restaurants, lots of veggie stores, specialty shops, all services you could imagine, great transportation, high public security till 3 am; there are lots of people on Mont-Royal all the time... here is where i live, downstairs in my duplex, really nice community. Other Activities: Boating, Snowmobiling, Parasailing, Snowboarding, Racquetball, Mini Golf, Hot Air Ballooning Ski: Both the Easter Townships and the Laurentiens have several resorts. Both areas are 40/60 miles from Montreal
