Montreal Apartment Rental Photos and Description

4 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, sleeps 9 comfortably, 10 being the maximum

This apartment is in an area of town that is European in character and French is the main language spoken. Right around the corner you have everything you can possibly need including car rentals, theater, clubs and dining from every part of the globe. If you like home cooking, there is an array of food shops, offering everything you can possibly need. For families with young KIDS I have a PARK right at the CORNER.

Transport is easy and quick if you don't rent a car. We have both buses (at the corner) and the subway down the street a ten minute walk from the house. Parking is on the street (and it's easy to park) if you are driving up to Montreal. This apartment is both pleasant and appealing. It offers a home feel. If you are on a budget what is nice about this area is there is so much competition that prices are local and not touristy.

THIS LOCATION is the HEART of the PLATEAU area: I am exactly 500 feet from all the action yet because of the SUMMER greenery on the street we hear nothing , FALL foliage is absolutely stunning, the back lane way is used for cross country skiing in the WINTER, (the only lane way in the area not snowplowed in the winter due to it's narrow configuration. I am truly lucky to live in an isolated pocket. I am a landlord and I have chosen to live here because it's hard to beat. It's a very safe district.

After all I am your downstairs neighbour and your local guide making sure you enjoy your stay so I am looking forward to meeting all you travellers out there.

Bienvenue, Welcome!!!

About Robert

Was a traveller. Now, I am giving back. Who reserves with me has the best of the best!

Robert purchased this apartment in 1980

Why Robert chose Montreal

This is a great place to live; I can't see myself moving ever. Perhaps a second home down south one day.

What makes this apartment unique

Everything you can possibly need is arround the corner. Tourist Events I am in the middle of it.

Would stay here again

  • 5 of 5

4 friends and I stayed here for a week in June 2009.

The condo was very clean, comfortable, and safe. With so many of us staying there we never ran out of hot water and the modern appliances made what chores we had to do a breeze. The owner was very helpful and responded quickly to any requests.

The area couldn't be beat. I have stayed in other parts of the plateau before but like this one the best. Lots of little shops, restaurants, bars and even a great playground only 1/2 block away.

I would highly recommend this to anyone visiting Montreal. I hope to stay here again with my family the next time we are in town.

Owner's Response: I am so happy to give vacationers a really memorable stay. I was a heavy traveller in my younger days and I always appreciated hospitality. I am giving back what I recieved years ago, a wonderful experience.

Great little apartment close to everything.

  • 4 of 5

We stayed here whilst attending a wedding in Montreal. Great area to stay with so many little cafes/shops in the area. A short cab ride to old Montreal.

Robert was a great host and was there if we needed him. Very affordable, and fully stocked. Such a great little apartment that slept us all (6 of us).

The only thing I would suggest, is that the bedding (sheets/comforter/pillowcases ) be upgraded. They were very old, and worn. To have crisp, new sheets to climb into would have made it 5 star. Everything else was perfect:)

We will stay here again when we return to Montreal:)

Owner's Response: The bed sheets are changed every year at the beginning of the season which is May, along with spring cleaning, and maintenance. I have the new ones downstairs. Unfortunately I have been intensely occupied with family medical issues 36 hours a day even though there are 24. Go figure, I keep on forgetting to put the new ones in the wash on cleaning day. It will be done, I promise.

Lovely place to stay while seeing Montreal

  • 4 of 5

My friend and I just returned from a week's stay at Robert's place. We found it to be just as described on the website and the photos to be accurate. The place was on a very quiet street within walking distance for many sights as well the bus and metro are very close by. The flat was clean, organized and well stocked with everything you need other than a few groceries. Robert made himself available should we needs his help for anything and was quick to respond to inquiries. Recommendation: For anyone arriving by plane, it's easy to take the 747 airport bus to the Berri Uqam Bus Station, just up the street is the Metro station, from there the Orange Line to Mount Royal (two stops) When you come out of the Metro at Mount Royal you can take a number 97 bus to just up the street from the flat. Just as the bus driver to let you know when you are at the stop. We didn't know this when we arrived and it costs us over $50 for a taxi! Now we know that it can be done for $10. There are also lots of taxis waiting at the Berri Uqam Bus Station if you'd rather just take a cab from there rather than the bus. Still will save you a lot of money. Thanks Robert for a great stay!

Very satisfied

  • 5 of 5

We loved the location!! The street is very quiet and there are many shops, restaurants and fruit n vegetable stores just around the corner. The apartment was very clean and the kitchen had a few basic supplies which came in handy. The bus stop is right on the street corner and only a quick ride to the metro station. Robert was very hospitable and ensured that we had everything we needed. We would definitely consider returning there if the opportunity arises again!

It's a step into another culture. Great city.

  • 4 of 5

The description was accurate, minutes away from public transportation and the old Montreal shops, (bakeries, restaurants etc..). The apartment was very clean and well maintained.

Our only dilemma was parking. With strick city rules and lack of parking spaces made it difficult to venture on our own.

Owner's Response: Unfortunately Montreal is in an upheaval of renovations. Public transportation is truly the best. Traffic and parking is becoming more of a problem. Park you car and forget it until you leave is the best.
