Thank you. We had an amazing time. The house was perfect and we could not have wished for a better week.
This is our second stay in this home and we hope to continue coming back year after year. The house is impeccably maintained with all the nice amenities you would want. It has a very sunny & bright feeling to it. The owner Catherine is wonderful to work with. She responds quickly and kindly to all my questions and provides detailed information prior to your arrival. We have rented homes in this same area for about 10 years and love the location. This house has a lovely view over the park and a partial ocean view. So the beach is nearby, there are several restaurants very close by including the British Beer Company and an easy walk to the Island Queen Ferry and a slightly longer walk into Falmouth town center. I would absolutely recommend this house.
This was THE perfect home for our vacation. Clean, comfortable, beautiful and spacious. Out extended family of 14 enjoyed every moment! Perfect spot with the fields across the way and the beach just down the street. The house and shed were completely stocked, so all the added "what ifs" that we packed were not needed. Central location, walkable to the ferry and some restaurants. We would absolutely choose this location again! It is exactly what a Cape Cod vacation should be like.
After a family wedding on July 9th, we arrived early Sunday afternoon. Everything was in tip top shape (except the ice maker). We had 10 - 14 people (all adults and 1 toddler) stay throughout the week with plenty of room to accommodate us all. The back yard was a favorite hang out with the younger crowd for Bocce ball and Kan Jam and bubbles for the 2 year old and the baby bunny that would come out to feed in the evening. Everyone loved the outdoor shower after a day at the beach which is just a block away and lovely. The front porch was great but could have used a couple of more umbrellas and maybe some rocking chairs. Very close to the street so could get a little noisy at certain times during the day. The park across the street was a beehive of activity with kids camps going on in the morning and softball games in the evening. Walk to the Island Queen ferry to Oak Bluffs at Martha's Vineyard. We ate in every night as with so many people it was hard to go out. Everyone took a turn cooking on the grill. Overall - no complaints at all - I just don't give out 5 stars to anyone - I would rent this house again. Catherine was very accommodating to work with.
We celebrated with our children and grandchildren in this beautiful home close to the beach. It was a perfect home to gather and our family was thrilled with the kitchen, sleeping accomadations, dining room and outdoor areas. The front porch was a wonderful place for all ages to be. We had toddlers who loved to go out and greet everyone walking on the street. People in the neighborhood were so friendly. Loved the grill and extra refridgerator. Easy access to stores, downtown and beach. The park across the street was perfect for letting kids run, flying a kite, playing ball! A most wonderful home and location. If possible we would rent it every year! Host was very reposing to the few simple questions we had. Not one issue while we were there!
This is a beautiful and well appointed home where the owners go over and above to provide a welcome stay to the guests. We loved the location- easy access to beach, Main Street and the island ferry. Everything we needed was available to us, with extras like beach chairs, umbrellas and even an extra fridge. Our favorite part was the front deck with view of the water. It was a pleasure staying there and working with owner on all arrangements!
Just got back from a week staying at this house. The house is comfortable for a large group. We had four generations of our family there and it worked for all of us. There is room for everyone to be together, but also private spaces to get away. The third floor master bedroom suite with its own balcony was wonderful. The front porch was a great gathering place in the morning for breakfast enjoying the breeze and watching the ocean and in the evenings before dinner.
The location is perfect. It is a quick one block walk to the beach so you don't need to pack up the car. The park across the street was great for flying kites and playing basketball. It's an easy walk to the Island Queen for a trip to Martha's Vineyard or to some of the nearby restaurants. The British Beer Company is less than a block away. I'd recommend a car or bike to go into downtown Falmouth. Grocery stores are less than 2 miles away.
The house includes amenities such as beach chairs, games, basketballs, etc. so you don't have to bring all those with you. We found the location convenient for everyone regardless of what they wanted to do that day.
We visited other family members renting other houses during the week. This house was definitely the nicest house and the most convenient to activities.
I would rent this house again and highly recommend it to anyone for a large family or multiple families.
