Turn to the right to the living room, dining room and kitchen, or go up the half flight of staris to the left to the office, bedroom and bathroom. This unique layout is part of the enjoyment of living here and you will not find another place like it in San Francisco.
Living room includes seating, dining,and kitchen with white cabinets granite and stainless steel. Japanese antiques and Asian accents throughout. Spa-style bathroom with soaking tub and shower next to built-in bed. Office area wit storage, granite desk and panoramic southern view of the Castro.

This is long overdue but wanted to share my views on how wonderful this apartment is. David the owner is a very talented architect and put so much into the interior. It's really a beautiful apartment. It's very comfortable, cozy, homey, great view and great location with plenty of parking. Plus David is an excellent landlord, very accommodating and easy to work with. I ended up extending my stay and stayed for 8-9 months. I would have stayed forever, but had to leave the area for work and then when I returned had to find an unfurnished apartment. I miss it and will always have fond memories of living here.
First, the view is fantastic -- Sutro Tower above, Victorians below. There's a small balcony with table and chairs - a perfect place for coffee in the misty mornings, or catching the sun the rest of the day (seasons allowing, though this part of SF gets sunnier every year now).
The apartment is really nice, with a slight SF funkiness to it completely in keeping with the City. The living room especially is suitable for business entertaining, but also a relaxing place to just hang out.
A 5 minute walk down the hill gets you to the Muni. Dolores Park, all the Valencia Street restaurants and cafes, and the rest of the Mission are an easy 15 minute walk.
David is more of a host than a landlord - the kind who really wants you to enjoy your stay, but also gives you as much privacy as you want. That said, he lives nearby and was always on hand to answer questions and help out. He went to some really impressive lengths to make sure I had everything I needed.
He’s an all around good guy, and his place was a treat to stay at.
We rented this apartment for the 4th of July week and had a wonderful time. The place was adorable, comfortable and well laid out. This felt much more like home, than a stuffy hotel. The location was perfect and a short walk to shops and restaurants. Beautiful views from Corona Park (right across the street). The apartment had a VERY comfortable bed, and was bright and clean. David was easy to work with and everything went smoothly. Looking forward to our next stay and missing San Francisco already!
We were completely overjoyed with this property and the area. It's situated around the corner from public transport, fantastic restaurants, bars and shops. The property was thoroughly clean and comfortable (since being back, we have bought the same bed) and David the owner is lovely and didnt hesitate in answering all of our questions. Can't wait to go back!
San Francisco is a world-class city famous for its diversity, educational and business resources, recreational and tourist attractions. IWe have historic and contemporary architecture, fine dining, upscale and internatiional shopping and markets. The apartment is centrally located, with Silicon Valley to the south, Marin County and the Wine country to the north across the Golden Gate Bridge, Sacramento and San Francisco Bay to the east across the Bay Bridge. Chinatown, Presidio National Park, North Beach, Union Square, the Castro gay district, Japantown, Haight Ashbury, and Golden Gate Park are just a few of the destinations you may want to explore while staying on States Street.

City parking permit is required if you are using street parking. This is available from SFMTA. Contact me for further details. A supplemental rental agreement is required to finalize this booking. The time can be extended to a month to month lease with a 30 day notice to vacate. This rental conforms to the rent control laws of San Francisco and is not considered a short term rental. I will only consider reservations starting approx. March 14, 2017 which are a minimum of 2 months. Contact the owner for further information.
