Welcome to our favorite spot! This is a one bedroom Condos near Kapaa on the island of Kauai. The unit can sleep six but four is more comfortable. It has two double beds in the bedroom and a sleeper sofa in the living room. Full kitchen, all appliances (including a blender for those great tropical drinks), dishes, linens etc.
The unit has Wifi internet access as well as two TVs and a stereo, DVD and CD player. We also leave beach towels, flashlights, snorkels, fins, boogie boards, coolers and beach mats for your use. So far our guests seem good about leaving them for the next person and even add to the collection! There are gas BBQs by the pool. All you need are your shorts, flipflops and a smile!
We have a two night minimum and a $100.00 cleaning fee and the Hawiian room tax. These ground floor units are located about 300 feet from the beach across a grass field with a sidewalk leading from the unit to the beach. The beach pictures are taken from the end of the sidewalk looking North and South. As you can see the beach is very quiet and uncrowded.
This is about as crowded as it gets. The property is located in Kapaa, about eight miles North of the airport at Lihue. It is next to the Coconut Plantation Marketplace for those of you familiar with the island. The main road around Kauai is shaped like a horseshoe with no roads on the north shore. We are located in the center of the horseshoe, equal distances to the end of the road in both directions.
You can fish, swim and snorkel at the beach out front or go body surfing, boogie boarding, kayaking and water-skiing or golfing a short drive away. There is also plenty of shopping close at hand. Gift shops and art galleries abound with lots of fun little restaurants in Kapaa town. Don't miss the farmer's market with fresh fruit and produce at bargain prices. If you have questions give us a call or send us an e-mail. We have been going to this island for 50 years and love the place.

Hi there! Welcome to our home in Hawaii. We are Shari and Craig and we live north of Seattle Washington. We have traveled the world from Indonesia to Belize to Fiji to Mexico to Micronesia and we love Kauai! We are avid scuba divers and if you are a diver, there is no place better than Kauai for Honu (turtles). Contact us anytime and we will be happy to help you plan your time on Kauai.
The Owner purchased this condo in 1998
We have been going to Kauai for over 50 years now and its an amazing place. We own 2 properties here on Kauai and have chosen the Kapaa side because of its balanced climate. There is enough rain to keep it lush but enough sun to make it fun. A perfect balance of available beaches, lush foliage and sunshine. For our personal taste, the north end ( Princeville) is too wet and Poipu has limited beaches, is too dry and way too crowded. There is only one main road, shaped like a horseshoe, on Kauai. Kapaa is right in the middle and equal distances from the end of the road in both directions. Perfect for exploring the incredible scenery of Kauai. Kauai has an amazing history. If you get the chance read Kauai, the Separate Kingdom. Kauai is the only Hawaiian Island that has never been conquered by any army (although many have tried!). Come stay with us and see why Kauai is such a special place.
We just wanted to thank you for the use of your condo. We had a great time, it's a great location, and it had everything we needed. We will definitely pass your names on to others.

We have been coming to Kauai for the past 20 years but first time at Plantation Hale. The location is perfect and the unit was clean and comfortable. During our stay we did experience a maintenance issue and we were very pleased when with one call to the owners the problem was corrected the very same morning. It is obvious the owners of this unit care about their rental guests! As a bonus on site staff are friendly and accommodating. We would definately stay here again in the future.
We booked Shari and Craig's condo in Plantation Hale for the week + and it was perfect for the 2 of us. We had never been to Kauai before and weren't sure where we should stay. We chose Kapa'a because it seemed to be centrally located. It was perfect as we spent time on the Na Pali Coast and beaches on the North Coast. We also went down to Poipu and did some wonderful snorkeling (highly recommend Sea Riders Snorkel Tours). Hiked the Waimea Canyon (highly recommend the Canyon Loop Trail). It was never far too anything we wanted to explore from the condo.
Coming "home" at night was wonderful- fully outfitted kitchen so saving money on eating out (though we did thoroughly enjoy the Shrimp Station and Sukhothai Thai Restaurant), very comfortable beds, beautiful bathroom. Loved having the free Wi-Fi. We took advantage of the boogie boards they have and had a blast! The BBQ's were very handy. Hot tub wonderful after a long day hiking.
Highly recommend this condo! And Shari was very helpful in our initial booking questions. Thanks so much! We hope to be back and hope we can stay more than 9 days next time!
While visiting Kauai, we stayed at Lae Nani in a condo we booked through Home Away. Craig and Shari are the owners and were most helpful. They even allowed us a later check out since our filght home did not leave until 9 PM. The pictures on the website were spot on. We had an ocean view from our balcony. A roomy open floor plan kitchen, dining and living room. 1.5 bathrooms and a nice Master bedroom. Plenty of space for my husband and myself. There is a pool and laundry on the property. The gardens go all the way to the beach, where there is a separate rock walled area for the children to swim in. Stores are close by-supermarkets, restaurants, souvenirs and island style clothing. The condo is located in Kapaa, Kauai which is a great location for exploring the island. We were right in the middle and could travel north to Hanalei and Princeville or south toward Poipu and Waimea.
We have just returned home today after a week spent at Craig & Shari's condo near Kapaa. The condo was absolutely perfect for my husband and I and our adult son who joined us for part of our stay. The location works well for trips in either direction (north to Hanalei and south to Poipu). It has some nice upgrades (granite in the kitchen and a beautiful tiled shower). Beach access down a short pathway and the pool area was very clean & well-kept. Our son loved that it was a 10 minute walk to Starbucks! Booking the condo was extremely easy & straight-forward. Craig & Shari were excellent to deal with and we would definitely stay there again. Mahalo!
We just spent 8 nights in F7. it was perfect for the 2 of us. Well-stocked kitchen, beach chairs, plenty of towels.....
The condo is centrally located. It is perfect for day trips to the north. Supermarkets near by. Tropical Dreams ice cream is sinful.
The owners were a delight to deal with. They let us check out a few hours late, when we realized our next condo (down south) had a 3 o'clock check in and we had a bunch of fridge/freezer stuff from Costco.
We loved the laid-back style of the east and north. The south is much more touristy and crowded. Plantation Hale was very quiet and felt very safe. We never shared the pool with more than 1 or 2 others. Usually, we had it to ourselves. Once, when there was a family already in it, we just walked over to one of the other pools (there are 3) and it was empty.
The beach is lovely to walk along at sunrise and sunset. We would not swim there due to the rocky shoreline. However, there is a state beach with guards 5 min north. It is beautiful.
The bike path is a must. Coastal Cruisers rents bikes for 10/day. They open at 8am.
I could go on and on. We had a fantastic time. 8 nights wasn't enough!
This was our first trip with our 3 children (ages 8, 11 and 13), and we absolutely loved Kaui'i. It is absolutely beautiful. We rented a car & drove the whole island. The location was perfect, 15 minutes to the airport, close to Safeway.
The condo was perfect for us, the kitchen and shower were nicely updated. We did email the owner & suggested that they put a foam topper on the pullout couch to make it more comfy for the kids! The beds in the bedroom were super comfy.
The kitchen was well stocked - loved the blender! And tons of beach stuff, chairs, cooler, snorkeling gear.
Loved that it was ground level, facing towards the ocean. Just a short 2 min. walk away, and no roads to cross. It was perfect for us, and would return in a heart beat.
