This 2 bedroom, 1 1/2 bath condo is less than a mile to the beach. Enjoy a true island setting among huge live oaks in the best location on the island to anything you want to do. It's a short walk or bike ride (4 free cruiser bikes on your patio) up the sidewalk to the beach at the Old Coast Guard Station (public white powdery sand swimming beach, about 300 yards wide, gets deep very gradually, drive and park in free public parking lot if you don't care to walk). This is also close to Massengale Park, a beachfront public park on Ocean Boulevard with swings, big shade trees, grills, and picnic tables.

Easy To Beach: Property is on Demere Road, St. Simons Island, Georgia 31522. 700 yards to the beach. Walk or bicycle, sidewalk all the way, or drive. There's a beautiful pavilion built 2008 with rest rooms and a staffed bbq restaurant at the Old Coast Guard Station, and about 300 parking spaces, all free. Or, enjoy the pool at the condo (closed in cool weather months, typically opens May 1).

totally thrilled

This was our best vacation yet. My husband and I brought our 4 sons down to stay at this condo for the 1st week of June. It was very comfortable for all of us. everything was so close by. We really enjoyed riding bikes around the island. the best part for me was the beds. They had the nicest most comfortable mattresses, we all slept like logs. The owners were very easy to get in touch with if you had questions regading things to do or places to visit on the island. Best was all of the fishing advice they gave for my son, who could not get enough fishing. I don't think we could ever dream of vacationing anywhere but here.

Weekend Getaway

This townhouse was perfect for a "girls' weekend away" for me and my best friend - very convenient location with close proximity to everything we visited. It was fully equipped with everything we needed - recommendations for suggested items to bring with us were spot-on. This condo was comfortable and a good place to come back to in the evenings to relax. I'd stay here again. Would be good for a couple adults with kids - If you plan to eat / cook in the condo and spend a lot of time in it, I think the downstairs would be tight for 8 people (sleeping two per bed), as far as dining table size and available seating in the living room. There was apparently a miscommunication between the owner and housekeeping regarding the timing of our arrival; however, Jen responded immediately to remedy the situation and more than fairly made up for it. She is definitely a responsive owner and was easy to get in touch with while we were there. I would recommend this condo to friends and family visiting the area.

A good value.

The property manager, Jennifer, was prompt and accurate in all our communications. Everything she described was spot on. This is a very convenient location for every activity that one could imagine. In checking out other properties I found that this one represents among the best in value. This condo was very clean and well stocked with towels and bed linens.

It was adequate for our use overnite. Not as nice as we expected however good for short stay.

There was a large dead bug on main bath floor, dust behind furniture. Draperies and window shades were a nuisance to even try to open windows for a breeze. Floor mats can cause trips and falls. We did like closeness to beach.

Owner's Response: The concerns of the condo's cleanliness have been promptly addressed with our routine, deep "Spring Cleaning". Unfortunately, because our condo is located on an island, an occasional bug may slip inside from time to time.

Best Location + Best Owners + Most Well Equipped Unit = Most Relaxing Vacation in a Long Time

We are so happy we decided to stay at this condo. This was our second time on St. Simons Island as my husband and I visited last year and stayed at one of the hotels close to the village. So when we started looking to go back, we knew exactly the location we wanted, specifically a place close to the East Beach access, which has a huge, beautiful beach with really cool tidal pools. This condo was right next to the causeway that takes you to the beach, so we could hop in the car and be at the beach in 3 minutes! This time we brought our 3 boys (ages 10, 13 and 16) and one of their favorite parts was jumping on a bike and riding the causeway to the beach. Seriously, it's 3 minutes by car, 10 minutes by bike, or only 20 minutes walk to an amazing beach (and a similar distance to the downtown village and pier if you go in the opposite direction - bonus!)

The owner was so amazingly available and prompt in helping us. Everything we needed to know about the unit, they told us in an email a few days before we arrived. We had every code we needed to access the unit, the pool area, the laundry room, the free wifi, and the bike lock. When we arrived and wanted to bike to the beach, we realized one of the bike tires needed air. Within 5 minutes of texting the owner, we had an answer to let us know where the tire pump was. There were a few little issues like that and every single time the owner was very prompt to help us.

I was also impressed with the well equipped linens and kitchen. Just about everything I have here at home was there. Plenty of sheets, towels, blankets, pillows, dishes, silverware - just everything. One thing I have noticed staying at different places on the beach - there are never enough places to hang towels and wet swim suits. This place was the complete opposite. I counted 14 hooks and 2 bars for hanging wet stuff in the upstairs bedrooms and bathroom. It was great.

Our sons also loved the pool and ping pong table. I think our youngest would have played ping pong the entire time. The landscaping on the grounds was lovely and well maintained.

We have really fallen in love with St. Simons, and when we return I know exactly where we will stay. Thank you so much for all your hospitality!

Very clean, very nice, very convenient

My daughter and I really enjoyed our stay at the condo on Demere Rd. There are tons of towels, sheets, blankets and enough cookware to make anything you would want. Nice dishes, glasses and plenty of comfortable furniture. Clean inside and out. Very accommodating owner. Thanks!

Notes:
A reserved marked parking space is just 25 feet from your door. The entire condo floor and baths are done in 20' porcelain tile, so the whole condo is mopped with pine-sol after each tenant. The only carpet in on stairs for safety. A charcoal grill and wrought iron table and 6 chairs, and 4 bikes, are on your patio. No pets or smoking indoors.
