The four bedroom house is part of a family owned vacation villa located on Playa Santa overlooking the bay and town of Ensenada. The dining room and kitchen of the house open up to a big terrace with tropical vegetation and impressive view over the Caribbean Sea. The patio has garden chairs with a table and a BBQ available to make your stay a true outdoor tropical experience. The living area has cable television. The house is designed openly and allows a fresh breeze go through as soon as the windows are open. The famous beach Playa Santa is only foot steps below the property. The house also offers a dining table and equipped kitchen, air conditioning in all bedrooms only, two twin size beds in one bedroom, 2 queen size beds in 2 more bedrooms and 1 king size bed in the master bedroom. The master bedroom has its own bath and comes with a great view on the beach and bay. Apart from a spacious garden terrace there is another big terrace upstairs on the second level together with all of the four bedrooms.
My family and I stayed at this house for 22 days in June 2016. The first night we arrived, it was late and very hot but once we got all the windows open, the ocean breeze made it more comfortable. The A/C worked in all the bedrooms also. The next morning, we got our first view of the ocean and beach, Playa Santa. It was amazing! The house was clean and had plenty of space for 2 adults and 3 children. We also had room for additional family that stayed periodically throughout our trip. The house was simple, yet well decorated. It is in a very safe, gated community. We ate breakfast outside every morning, over looking the ocean. The kitchen had everything we needed for cooking, but there are also several nearby places to eat out. We spent several days enjoying the amazing beach, which you get to by walking a very short (maybe 30 feet) trail. The trail has a locked gate, which is a bonus, to keep other beach goers out of the gated community. I can not think of anything that would have made this house better! It had everything we were looking for and is in a perfect location. It was hard to leave! I highly recommend staying here and hope it is available for our next trip to Puerto Rico!
this is our 3rd trip to Puerto Rico and to the villa. To us and our friends it's like coming home... We love this place!! The view is wonderful. The beaches are amazing esp. during the week, hardly anyone around... At one pt looking at the pic of the beach on this site my friend, and myself were in the water with only 6 other people! try finding that at the jersey shore!! lol we are planning on returning in August just to see what the weather is like.. can't wait. This is a great place to vacation and it is very safe and secure!!!
Could not get cable in the 4 bedroom house no TV, no screens in windows bugs are free to come in one guy got bit buy something all over his back, door in the 1 bedroom house the handle spins around got locked out first day good thing window was open so we could use a broom, in the 1 bedroom house no hot water in the kitchen sink have to boil water to wash dishs
The beach house came as advertised! This neighborhood in Guanica (Ensenada-Playa Santa) does not get the tourist traffic that other more well know locations receive (Hint: beach used mostly by locals). That said, the home is within reasonable location to the majority of attractions in Puerto Rico's southwest coastline. Other than the cleaning crew missing a used coffee filter from the previous occupants, the house was cleaned properly. This home has a spectacular lower and upper patio level view of the beach and waterfront. Management was pleasant to deal with. I would definitely recommend this property for families and large groups. Don't miss La Parguera with it's bio-bay and Cabo Rojo's beautiful Playa Sucia and Faro (lighthouse)!
Nice ocean side patio, unfortunately across the bay is a bar that was blasting loud music most afternoons & evenings until late. To sleep we had to shut all windows & use the A/C, no ocean breezes. The apt. itself needed a very good cleaning, we spent over an hour upon arrival sweeping/mopping all floors, & the bathroom needed a lot of extra attention. The owner was very pleasant to deal w/ as far as details getting keys, etc...It was easy to get groceries from the big grocery store in Guanica, about 12 minutes drive. The location was very scenic.
This house exceeded our expectations! A beautiful home, well furnished and well maintained. The view from the house is absolutely spectacular! The pictures don't do it justice. A perfect spot to sit and soak up the beauty of the area. We spent a couple of days doing just that. The breeze off the water is both relaxing and refreshing. We also enjoyed a few days of exploring: bio-luminescent bay (intriguing), dry forest (we spotted the Puerto Rican lizard cuckoo!), and we truly enjoyed the quiet and unique beaches along the dirt road just to the right of the of the entrance gate (it goes on for miles - plenty to explore).
We would definitely recommend this home! It is both comfortable and beautiful. The owner was very sweet and welcoming. She gave us clear directions and good suggestions. Thanks so much for sharing your home with us!!! We hope to return...
Guanica is one of the best relaxing areas in Puerto Rico. It´s dryer air makes everything feel more lay back. This small village of Playa Santa area has one of the best beaches in Puerto Rico and is a very quiet one, perfect for the hole family. The area is pretty much secluded and you will need to shop for food on Guanica Town before going to the house. We do recommend to stop in the fruit stand along the 116 road on the way to Guanica. Around the beach (walking distance from the house) you do have a few restaurants to have lunch or dinner. Also 30 minutes away in the next town, Yauco, you have a shopping center with many shops (if you are coming from Ponce, is a good place to stop for food as well). 20 minutes away you have the next village that is ¨La Parguera¨ where you can take tours to the bio-luminescent lagoon and also have restaurants that serves great fresh sea food. On of the best attractions on the area is the Federal Natural Reserve of ¨Bosque Seco de Guanica¨ (guanicas´ dry forest) Don´t miss it and bring lots of water. Behind the forest, there is another secluded beach that it can only be accessed by boat and it is in the San Jacinto Area and the place is called ´Guilligans Island´ Is worth to spend half a day there relaxing in the sun.
