About Scott O'Connor

We loved Big Sky from the moment we first visited. We grew up in the northeast, Scott from the Jersey Shore (LBI) Kristin from Philly. After moving to southwest Florida we wanted a vacation home where we could enjoy cooler weather in the summer and ski in the winter. We found Big Sky and never looked back. You will fall in love with it to.

Scott O'Connor purchased this chalet in 2005

Why Scott O'Connor chose Montana

Three bedrooms and three baths each room with its own bathroom, its perfectly comfortable for groups of friends to get together. Large open floor plan on the first level is perfect for happy hour. The property is located in the lively Meadow Village one mile from the town center where the majority of the restaurants and shopping are located. We chose this over the mountain village which is more crowded with conventions and to few restaurants for the crowds.

What makes this chalet unique

The free mountain shuttle stop is steps out the door. Every group has that die hard that wants to be first chair and the others who want to sit by the fire and head up to the mountain at a slower pace. The free shuttle solves this issue.

Great property!

  • 5 of 5

Great property. Comfortable. Not too far from

Bozeman. Not too far from Yellowstone. But it is a trek to Grand Teton.

The only complaint, if you really call it that, is the plushness of the King-sized bed. It was simply too soft, but I still slept great.

Owner is great to work with and genuinely cares about his property and his guests' enjoyment at his property.

Good base location for Big Sky adventures

  • 5 of 5

This place is very nice and well maintained. The furnishings are comfortable and fit the Big Sky theme. Three nice size bedrooms with solid, comfortable mattresses and the three bathrooms ensured everyone had privacy when they wanted it. Kitchen seemed to have every appliance imaginable. Minutes by car to town center or a nice ~1.5 mile walk. 8 miles to Big Sky ski mountain. Satellite tv service. Own is responsive via text, cell, or email. I would definitely rent this place again.

Great Condo!

  • 5 of 5

Great Condo, better than advertised. We have stayed at many condos all over and this is one of the best! Very nice amenities, high quality beds, towels and linens. Primo selection of pots, pans, baking sheets, casserole dishes, glassware, flatware, and cooking utensils. The condo was also loaded up with toilet and paper towels, soaps and other cleaning products. Always a plus to have access to a garage which had a charcoal grill and a ton of dry wood to burn in the fireplace. Large separate entry area was also key in helping to keep all the odds and ends out of the main condo. Plenty of room to spread out, more comfortable and more spacious than what was pictured. Big bonus was the large hot tub after a hard day of skiing. The just over 10 minute drive to the mountain was easy. There is also a shuttle that comes by the condo once per hour if you prefer that. Town is a quick 2 minute drive down the road with plenty of food and drink choices. The only thing which could use a slight upgrade was the internet. It was pretty slow, so streaming a few games that weren’t on cable was not an option. That aside, everything else was well above par. Scott the Owner was easy to work with and if we ever head back to Big Sky, I’ll be giving him a call.

Great cozy home in Big Sky

  • 5 of 5

This townhome is delightful- it is large, very comfortable, and very well maintained. It has its own garage so you can store sports equipment you may bring with you, like bikes or kayaks. The kitchen is extremely well stocked for a large amount of people, because it seems like the owners use it a lot themselves, and it is large, modern and very nice. There are enough beds for 8, and each room has its own bathroom with a shower. The beds and pillows are very comfortable and the entire house is extensively decorated with pleasant wildlife/nature themes. The owner communicates well and gave us some great recommendations where to find activities we were looking to do. Big sky is a pretty ski town- split into 3 areas. We find the location of this townhome to be the most convenient, especially in the summer, because most of the shops and restaurants, and activities like the farmers market are all there, though don’t expect to find too much shopping in general. Warning-the grocery stores (there are 2) in Big Sky are very expensive! If you’re going to the farmers’ market make sure you look for Sinclair’s Bakery’s black van- they make absolutely delicious European-style pastries with unbelievably yummy flaky croissant dough.

perfect home

  • 5 of 5

we arrived late and the home was as welcoming as if we where actually at home the beds where great,

we were a family of 7 adults and had lots of room we never felt crowded even when we all sat around the table there were extra chairs in the closet for seating 8 people the kitchen had more pots and pans and mixing bowls than you can imagine even Tupperware dishes to hold our leftovers, the chalet was very clean and maintained. we had trouble with the hot tub and it was repaired that very day the owner was very helpful in all aspects of the rental.just remember to buy your groceries in Bozeman since the store in the village is very costly.

We where there for a ski vac. and the bus stop is just out the door and the bus drivers where very helpful the bus ran every hour,. the big stone fireplace was very nice after a hard day of skiing. we have used Homeaway before and have never had a chalet like this, this is defiantly a 5 star property and we would use it again in a heartbeat Lee Ontario Can.
