We bought this unique structure as the signature camp in an exclusive, small subdivision.
Currently, (2013) only 4 other structures in the Timber Run Subdivision property.
Private. Much wildlife activity near the camp and the surrounding reserve property left untouched by any further activity in perpetuity.
Famous Mt Kineo only a short boat ride by water shuttle. Hiking, golf, swimming, picnicing, snowmobiling, ice fishing available. Rentals easily arranged.
This chalet style cabin is welcoming and comfy. The big, beautiful windows in the front were great for viewing the ever changing big sky. They also provided a bonus viewing of the neighborhood deer with fawn ,and a big, healthy red fox scampering by at least once daily , and lightning bugs galore! We rode our ATV from Rockwood to Jackman and saw a bear in his berry patch. We boated on Moosehead to our hearts' content. The cabin offers all the amenities . The beds are well appointed and comfortable. Rockwood...the way life should be. Thanks Don & Donna Daigle for being attentive and gracious hosts.
This was a beautiful cabin that was very private. There were 5 adults and 2 children and we were all very comfortable. The kids loved the loft area and gaming system. We met several neighbors on our walks and all were friendly. My kids loved the fire pit and our nightly marshmallow roasting. There was also a lot of secluded roads and trails nearby for viewing wildlife. If you are planning to buy groceries stop in Greenville the little convieience store in Rockwood was very pricey but had the necessities. Thank you for sharing your cabin with us!
What a great time. This cabin is so comfortable - has everything - well stocked beds are wonderful . Seen deer every morning & evenings. Lots of wildlife to see . Just an all around beautiful spot - a must stay ..
My boyfriend and I stayed in this home over Thanksgiving vacation...the house is absolutely beautiful, easy access to Moosehead Lake. There wasn't much to do there at the time we were there but all we were looking for was relaxation so it worked out great for us. There are lots of atv paths and moose watching and everyone we encountered was very friendly. The home was just so beautiful that we didn't even want to go anywhere! Eric and Linda were most pleasant to deal with, too. We highly recommend this spot for anyone looking to get away from it all!
My wife and I thououghly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful cabin. We observed the wildlife from the dining area which included deer, eagle and a red fox! It was great to be in the wilderness and still enjoy all the conveniences of home. Easy access to lake and river fishing, boat /canoe rental, nature walks and hiking. This just may be Rockwood's best kept secret. We started planning next years trip the day we left. Note to true fishermen: numerous remote ponds in area, take Rt 15W to Demo Rd to Moose River for an unbelievable fishing opportunity. Good luck!!
Snowmobilers will find this cabin as close to the intersection of Maine's major snowmobile routes as one could hope for! Hop right on Route 66 and sled! We have lots available for sale, as well in our Timber Run Estate.
