fantastic location, good size house, well equipped, very private garden

  • 5 of 5

The house had everything you may need, and all good quality. The garden area was great, the TV and should system were excellent. Loved the pool and used nearly every day. We missed air con, as we had 30+ most days and low 20's every night.

We had a wonderful week in this lovely Villa

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful week in this lovely

and perfectly equipped villa. We enjoyed

the sunny days at the beaches of L'Espiguette and all the tours to Stes Marie's de la Mer, Carmargue, Nimes, Avignon etc. Unfortunately we had to leave today - one week is

definitely too short. We decided to come

back next year - for 2 weeks.

This part of the world is so beautiful that

vacation here is like being in paradise ...

Beautiful Holiday

  • 5 of 5

We had a beautiful holiday. The villa is very well equipped and comfortable. The patio area is fantastic and very private. Love the bamboo blowing in the breeze.

The residence is very secure and swimming pool is beautiful.

There is a lovely view of the tower from the pool and that indicates how close the residence to the beautiful medieval town. There are so many fantastic restaurants and cafe bars it difficult to name them but La Fleur de Sel for pizza and the Tac Tac Bar are a must.

We really enjoyed L'Espigutte beach which is beautiful.

Thanks again for providing us with a location for a fantastic holiday which our two children 11 and 9 had a great time.

Amazing location

  • 4 of 5

The most impressive thing about this property is its close proximity to the fabulous town of Aigues-Mortes and it is also just 5K away from an amazing long beach.

The property itself is ideal for a family of four. It has a great outdoor space with a large canopy covering a table that easily seats six. The kitchen is well equiped with a large fridge/freezer, a dishwasher, washing machine plus a handy downstairs toilet. The television is good for giving the children a break after sightseeing or hours at the good, clean, shared pool.

Some parts of the Villa could do with a bit of TLC especially the shower room upstairs and some of the drawers in the children's room and main bedroom need repaired. The downstairs sofa bed wasn't very comfortable but as we were outside most of the time it wasn't a huge problem. A nice touch would be A/C. There is a mobile unit but the pipe needs to go out an open window and the lead is very short. The beds were comfortable and when I requested more pillow cases, Richard the caretaker, was quick to get some for us. The staircase is very steep and probably not ideal for small children. Shutters on the windows help to keep sunlight out but the children's window's mosquito screen was broken as was the outside tap which doesn't switch off (so be careful not to pull the hose or ...).

The complex in which the Villa is situated is very clean and friendly and the children all play wonderfully together. Whilst there we visited Nimes - a wonderful Roman town and went horse riding on the Camargue horses. We also canoed 12k down the Herault Gorges which was so much fun, the scenery was outstanding.

The star of the show has to be Aigues-Mortes itself, the walls are stunning and the restaurants and shops a delight - definitely a place to visit!

We had a brilliant holiday here, everything we needed was in the town or just a short drive away. I would recommend this holiday to friends and family and if the property was given a bit of a spruce up I will be back with bells on!

Owner's Response: Thanks Keith for your positive and detailed review, I am glad you had such a nice holiday. I apologise for the drawers, I believe there is one broken in each room. I will replace these and examine the other items mentioned as soon as possible. Richard is very attentive and is always focused on ensuring everything is okay for guests. Your description of the location speaks for itself. Keep in touch and I am looking forward to your return visit. Many thanks, Ronan.
