We were only in Milan for one night. The apartment was easy to reach by metro and walkable to the old part of Milan. Elisabetta was very helpful and kind.
See you next time.... one night only is too short to discover Milan!
The host was very accomodating. The appartement is well situated next to the metro and near the city center. Excellent for a short stay in Milan
Thanks Paul. I hope next time you can stay a bit longer.
Lovely cozy apartment. Elisabetta was friendly and very helpful.
I hope you enjoyed your holiday in Italy. See you next time.
The apartment was in a great location and the host was awesome. Elisabetta was very easy to reach and always answered any questions we had. Would stay here again.
Nice compact, secure place. Close to areas we wanted to see. Nice neighborhood. The spiral stairs were a bit tough getting luggage up. Bathroom was upstairs. Apartment neat and clean but it is an old building. The bed was comfortable. Elisabetta was delightful and helpful. No pots or pans.
thanks for your positive review.
The building dates back to the 18th century; in the apartment we kept on purpose the original flooring and ceiling.
Pots and pans are in the closet next to the kitchenette; I am sorry you did not find them. If you would have called me I would have come and show you their place.
I hope you will pass by again in the future.
Cozy & very well located
Our host, Elisabetta, was awesome. As our train to Milan was late we didn’t get to the flat on time & suspecting we may have been lost she came looking for us at the metro station. Luckily we had just emerged from the metro & while trying to find our bearings, she found us & escorted us to the flat. We got a brief history lesson on one of the surrounding buildings, which I found very interesting coming from a background in architecture.
Once at the flat, she was very helpful in showing us around etc. As my gf & I we’re both celebrating our birthdays on this trip she also left us a nice little surprise, which was unnecessary but very much appreciated.
As for the flat itself, as you can tell from the listing & photos, it is very small but well equipped. The kitchenette is cleverly concealed in the cabinetry on the main floor as is the clothes washer (no dryer). The only way to the mezzanine above where the bathroom & bedroom are is a small spiral staircase. Getting large luggage up there would be quite difficult but there isn’t really any room for it up there anyhow. As we were only there for 2 nights we left our luggage downstairs. The bathroom was small but functional. My only complaint was the mattress, which in my opinion was worn out & could use replacing. It was relatively comfortable for 2 nights, but you could feel the odd spring & could certainly hear them every time you moved.
As for the location, it was about a 5-10min walk from the basilica & galleria. If you don’t feel like walking there is a metro station about 30 seconds away. The Milan metro is easy to navigate & very handy for getting to most landmarks etc.
Overall, to stay here for a few days was great. The cons were easy to overlook for a short stay, but If I was staying for a longer period of time I’d consider looking for a place that is a bit bigger so my luggage wasn’t relegated to life on a chair downstairs.
Sean, thanks a lot for your detailed review.
I am happy to read that you enjoyed your short stay in Milan.
See you next time.
