Eugene House Rental Photos and Description

House, 2 Queen Bedrooms + 2 twin beds, 1 Bath, (Sleeps 4-6)

Le Petit Louvre has received rave reviews on VRBO for 7 years as of July, 2015. We are perfect for small families, vacations, business, U of O games, Olympic pre-lims!

Available for short or extended stays. Please read our reviews!

Le Petit Louvre is the home and art studio of the owner Denise Steele.

Denise's artwork of Paris in the 20’s and the Jazz & Swing Era creates the ambiance that is reminiscent of Monmartre, where the great dancers, musicians, writers, and composers gathered to think, create, and enjoy life, such as Josephine Baker, Ernest Hemingway, Cole Porter and Picasso.

Here you can enjoy all the amenities of a home away from home with a wood burning fireplace to snuggle in front of, dance on wooden floors, cook gourmet meals in the complete kitchen, barbeque in the backyard while enjoying the garden, or find a quiet nook to paint or read your stress away.

We have recently upgraded to queen size beds in each bedroom with brand new linens, and there are 2 twins available for extra guests/children. The bathroom has a vintage claw foot tub for those relaxing bubble baths you have been postponing, and a shower.

Le Petie Louvre is light, and cheerful, with hardwood floors through out, lots of windows, has a new kitchen & bathroom, 2 dining room tables, a spacious floor plan which includes a large living room and dining room with some antiques.

It is fully furnished, with a complete kitchen, dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker, there is also a washer & dryer, wireless Internet, cable, flat screen TV.

Le Petit Louvre is a lovely vintage 1920's home, located only 18 blocks from Hayward Field (Olympic trials) and 5 minutes from the Hult Center (Bach festival, with private parking in the drive way. And free street parking. There is space for 1 med. RV with electrical hook up. We are a half block to the bus stop and scenic jogging and biking paths along creeks and rivers.

Le Petit Louvre sits on a quiet street and yet is close to everything! One block away you will find a complete grocery & drug store. And it is a few blocks to banks, restaurants, ice cream parlors, health food stores, a hardware store, movie rental, a liquor store, office suppliers, Fed Ex, the post office, and the best pool in town: Amazon Swimming Pool with slides, wading pools and several larger pools.

Le Petit Louvre is available year round as a vacation rental home for short or extended stays, monthly rates available upon request.

Why Denise Steele chose Eugene

This charming home is easy access to everywhere, very close to the University, perfect for small families and groups. Le Petit Louvre is on a quiet street with free off street parking, and has a large yard. We are very close to Amazon Park which has free summer concerts, Shakespeare in the park, and the best city pool with 4 separate pools for different ages, as well as lap swim times. We are surrounded by lovely views of the south hills, and the walking/running paths are almost outside our door. Great shopping and restaurants are close by.

Denise made it quite easy to book and ask questions and was so friendly. We filled every space on every bed and it still felt roomy. Nice neighborhood. Great guidance. Very clear instructions to take care of the place. Love the house and the host.

Good location near trails and the best coffee shop and bagel shop in town. Would think twice about trying to sleep any more people than are comfortable in the 2 double beds. The convertible bed just did not work well for the person using it during our stay.

Nicely maintained.

Owner's Response: Apart from this comment we have had nothing but rave reviews for Le Petit Louvre, the beds specifically, and the amenities. These visitors came over Christmas during the coldest weather I have personally seen in Eugene reaching into the single digit temperatures at night. Given this extreme weather and that the futon was in the livingroom, I imagine it was colder than the other bedrooms which have their own wall heaters. We are very sorry the futon did not work out on this occasion, we did situate it right next to a base board heater... perhaps it was not turned on at night? Le Petit Louvre has so much charm, not to mention the cozy clawfoot tub and wood fireplace to delight in. We are ideally located near organic markets, parks, restaurants, cafes, coffee bars, pubs, outdoor music, running trails, and the best city pool. We are with in walking distance to the U of O, and a few minutes drive to downtown. Please check out our other rave reviews above from our very happy guests by clicking the + buttons, enjoy!
